W artykule przedstawiono wybrane praktyczne aspekty wyboru zintegrowanego systemu informatycznego do zarządzania przedsiębiorstwem. Kwestia opracowania dobrego zapytania ofertowego jest bardzo istotna w procesie przebiegu przetargu, którego efektem ma być zakup zintegrowanego systemu informatycznego do zarządzania przedsiębiorstwem. Celem autora było pokazanie wybranych mechanizmów zachodzących w tym procesie zwracając uwagę na kluczowe czynniki, które są niezbędne do osiągnięcia sukcesu. Autor celowo nie wymieniał żadnych konkretnych zintegrowanych systemów informatycznych ze względu na chęć przedstawienia w sposób obiektywny omawianej problematyki. Przedstawione wybrane aspekty praktyczne wynikają z kilkunastoletniego doświadczenie biznesowego, które autor posiada.

he article presents selected practical aspects of choosing an integrated IT system for enterprise management. The issue of developing a good request for proposal is very important in the process of conducting the tender, the effect of which is to be the purchase of an integrated IT system for enterprise management. The author's goal was to show selected mechanisms taking place in this process, paying attention to the key factors that are necessary to achieve success. The author intentionally did not mention any specific integrated IT systems due to the willingness to present the discussed issues in an objective manner.The presented selected practical aspects result from several years of business experience that the author has.

Celem tego artykułu jest pokazanie praktycznych aspektów mogących zminimalizować potencjalne ryzyko występujące w tego typu projektach. Ważnym aspektem jest czynnik ludzki, który jest nieprzewidywalny i bardzo złożony. Autor celowo nie wymieniał żadnych konkretnych zintegrowanych systemów informatycznych ze względu na chęć przedstawienia w sposób obiektywny omawianej problematyki. Przedstawione wybrane aspekty praktyczne wynikają z kilkunastoletniego doświadczenie biznesowego, które autor posiada.

The article presents selected practical aspects of implementing an integrated IT system for enterprise management. The implementation of an integrated IT system is a very difficult and complex IT project with a high risk of failure. The purpose of this article is to show the practical aspects that can minimize the potential risk in this type of project. An important aspect is the human factor, which is unpredictable and very complex. The aspects of lean manufacturing that have a significant impact on the management of a manufacturing enterprise by an integrated information system will be discussed.The author intentionally did not mention any specific integrated IT systems due to the willingness to present the discussed issues in an objective manner. The article presents the issues concerning the analysis of building an intelligent organisation, especially taking into account the role of information systems as sources of innovation in functioning of a chosen firm in small and medium enterprises sector. On the base of literature study the author discussed an intelligent organisation in the context of information systems development. The main aim of the article was to present four key conditions for building an intelligent organization in a selected, for the analysis, enterprise. Additionally, the author presented the 438 B. Sorychta-Wojsczyk implementation of an integrated B2B information system in a chosen firm of small and medium enterprises sector.

Streszczenie W artykule przedstawiono wybrane informacje dotyczące zasad projektowania systemów technicznego zarządzania obiektów i systemów BMS. Wykazano związek procesu projektowania systemu BMS z projektowaniem systemów informatycznych przedsiębiorstw. Przedstawiono wybrane cechy rozbudowanych systemów BMS oraz omówiono zależność między niektórymi aspektami kosztów eksploatacji takich systemów, w zależności od ich rozmiaru i zaawansowania technologicznego. Wskazano na wady nadmiernie rozbudowanych systemów oraz nieprawidłowości funkcjonowania systemów zbyt zredukowanych. Przedstawiono trzy przykładowe projekty, w których dokonano integracji wybranych funkcji technicznego zarządzania obiektu z systemem informatycznym firmy. Wykonano dla tych projektów szacunkowe obliczenia dotyczące zapotrzebowania na rejestrację wybranych zdarzeń systemu technicznego zarządzania obiektu. Porównano szacunkowe zapotrzebowanie na rejestrację i przetwarzanie danych, dotyczące rozważanych projektów i określono, które z nich mogłyby zostać zrealizowane w oparciu o energooszczędną platformę sprzętową niezgodną ze standardem PC.

This paper presents selected recommendations for the facility management and building management system design rules. The relationship between building management system design and enterprise information system design has been demonstrated. Then the article presents selected characteristics of complex BMS systems, and discusses the relationship between certain aspects of the operation cost of such systems, depending on their size and technological advancement. The disadvantages of excessively elaborate BMS systems and malfunctioning of too reduced BMS systems has been pointed out. Three examples of facility management projects, integrated with specific functions of enterprise information system of the company has been presented. Some calculations and estimation has been done to find out the demand for data registration and processing of selected events of these facility management systems. Then the results of the demand for data registration estimations has been compared to check if it is possible to establish the energy-efficient hardware platform incompatible with standard PCs for the data registration and processing.

W części teoretycznej scharakteryzowano działanie zintegrowanych systemów informatycznych, ich funkcje oraz korzyści, które wynikają z implementacji. W części praktycznej przedstawiono wdrożenie systemu, na przykładzie badanej organizacji. Zidentyfikowano podstawowe problemy działu spedycji oraz zobrazowano schemat funkcjonowania poszczególnych modułów. Na zakończenie wskazano czynniki, które przyczyniły się do usprawnienia działania całej firmy i wpłynęły pozytywnie na efektywność realizowanych w niej procesów.

In the theoretical part characterizes the operation of integrated information systems, their functions and benefits from implementation. The practical part presents the implementation of the system, for example the organization. Identified the basic problems in freight forwarding department and illustrated the operation diagram of the individual modules. At the end indicated effects, which have contributed to improving the company and had a positive impact on the effectiveness of the implemented processes.

Effective company management, the use of new and modern methods and techniques of management, require the right quality data that can be provided by integrated information systems. Therefore, the bigger number of small and medium-size companies have decided to introduce this tools although they have recognized that the introduction process is difficult and expensive. However, the alternative solution cannot be easily found. The article presents results of pre-implementation operation. This operation has been realized according to the developed methodology which includes the following steps: the analysis of needs and the working conditions of a company, the structure of a model of a production process (in a company) supported by an integrated computer system; the choice of information system’s supplier; the implementation work scheduling. Special attention was paid to main aspects of pre-implementation operation and effect of successive steps.

The article presents a case study of the integrated information system of University of Science and Technology in Bydgoszcz (UTP), the information about its present stage, the range of operation, and plans of further expansion. A significant part of the article has been devoted to various kinds of building management systems, their basic and advanced range, evolution, and the role they may play in the integrated information system of the university. The other part of the article presents the concept and the first stage of the implementation of the university classrooms occupancy logging system based on the usage RFID key fobs, RFID readers and PC computers, and ARM microcontrollers in concierge desks in the university buildings. The simple system has been developed at the UTP in Bydgoszcz, Poland. It is now mainly used for logging and visualizing the occupancy of the lecture halls, but it will soon be linked to the UTP integrated information system and the BMS system of one of the UTP buildings.

W artykule przedstawiono studium przypadku dotyczące Zintegrowanego Systemu Informatycznego Uniwersytetu Technologiczno-Przyrodniczego w Bydgoszczy (UTP). Przedstawiono w nim informacje o obecnym etapie realizacji systemu, jego zakresie działania i planach jego dalszego rozwoju. Znaczna część artykułu została poświęcona różnego rodzaju systemom zarządzania budynków BMS, podstawowym i zaawansowanym funkcjom tych systemów, ewolucji tych systemów i roli, jaką mogą one odegrać w ramach zintegrowanego systemu informatycznego uczelni. Druga część artykułu przedstawia koncepcję i pierwszy etap wdrożenia systemu rejestracji zajętości uczelnianych sal dydaktycznych. Ten prosty system jest oparty na wykorzystaniu breloków RFID trwale dołączonych do kluczy wydawanych przez portierów oraz czytników RFID połączonych z komputerami PC, umieszczonymi w portierniach budynków uniwersyteckich. System został opracowany na potrzeby UTP w Bydgoszczy. W chwili obecnej system jest głównie wykorzystywany do rejestracji i wizualizacji zajętości sal wykładowych, ale wkrótce jego działanie będzie połączone ze Zintegrowanym Systemem Informatycznym UTP oraz systemem BMS jednego z budynków UTP.

Effective company management, the use of new and modern methods and techniques of management, require the right quality data that can be provided by integrated information systems. Therefore, the bigger number of small and medium-size companies have decided to introduce ERP class systems (ERP II now) although they have recognized that the introduction process is difficult and expensive. However, the alternative solution cannot be easily found. The article presents the project of integrated information system implementation in a selected small clothing company. The implementation project has been realized according to the developed methodology which includes the following steps: 1) the analysis of needs and the working conditions of a company; 2) the structure of a model of a production process (in a company) supported by an integrated computer system; 3) the choice of integrated information system; 4) the construction of integrated information system model . the configuration of a computer system; 5) the implementation work scheduling; 6) the implementation of the integrated information system. The main objective of this project was to implement an integrated information system. The additional goal was to verify the implementation methodology in practice. In the next part of the article describes the characteristic elements of implementation works and change managements in this project. Finally, the possible directions of development of the company aided integrated information system was describe.

In the process of adapting the organization to implement an integration platform is required to answer the questions: Does the organization know what information is or will it need? Because of the peculiarity of software as a product, its quality is especially hard to measure. This is true particularly when quality is considered from the users' point of view - so called quality in use. In the paper, a tool for quantifying software quality in use is proposed. Then, the results of the research carried on the users of the ERP system are presented. These encompass the importance and assessment of the three dimensions of software quality in use.
