By making statistics and analyzing the data provided by the Department of Occupational Safety and Health, ILO\&IFC, and other sources, the author shows the fact that implementing occupational safety and health in enterprises is a part of implementing corporate social responsibilities to employees, occupational safety and health in enterprises is an issue, which has the most violations in labor matters. They are mainly concentrated in 4 groups: worker protection, OSH management system, emergency response, chemicals and hazardous material, with very high non-compliance rates, 93%, 82%, 74%, 68% respectively. Through real analysis, the author gives some suggestions to improve the implementation of occupational safety and health.

Purpose: To develop and implementation in practice an algorithm for smart monitoring of workplace environmental physical factors for occupational health and safety (OSH) management. Design/methodology/approach: A brief conceptual analysis of existing approaches to workplace environmental physical factors monitoring was conducted and reasonably suggest a decision-making algorithm to reduce the negative impact of this factors as an element of the OSH management system. Findings: An algorithm has been developed that provides continual improvement of the OSH management system to improve overall labour productivity and which has 3 key positive features: (1) improved data collection, (2) improved data transfer and (3) operational determination of the working conditions class. Research limitations/implications: The implementation of the proposed algorithm for substantiating managerial decisions to reduce the negative impact of workplace physical factors is shown by the example of four workplace environmental physical factors in the products manufacture from glass. Practical implications: If management decisions on the implementation of protective measures are taken in accordance with the proposed monitoring algorithm, these decisions will be timely and justified. This makes it possible to reduce the time of the dangerous effects of physical factors on the health of workers and reduce the level of these factors to improve working conditions. That is, an algorithm is proposed that provides continuous improvement of the OSH management system to increase overall labour productivity. Originality/value: Current monitoring of workplace environmental physical factors values are carried out in accordance with the justified monitoring intervals for each factor that provides the necessary and sufficient amount of data and eliminates the transfer of useless data.

A cross-sectional study was carried out to examine the frequency and types of serious injuries in physical educators throughout their professional career, in relation to their gender, age and teaching level, certain factors causing the injuries and the consequences of those injuries on their working ability. The subjects (n = 468) answered a self-administered questionnaire. In men, one group's higher frequency of injuries was 1.8 (95% CI [1.26, 2.57]) times higher than in women. Every year in age increased the odds for moving into a group with a higher frequency of injuries by 7.6% (95% CI [1.06, 1.10]). The most common injuries for both genders were lower limb injuries. The most common cause of injury was the teacher's own mistake. Over 60% of teachers had to modify their teaching after an injury. It is necessary to further explore preventive strategies to reduce injuries in these workers.

Psychophysiological peculiarities of the effect of 24-hour shift work on psychophysiological indices of an operator's efficiency are considered. It is found that significant manifestations of the fatigue are developed in servicemen-operators as a result of daily shift-work. The informative psychophysiological characteristics, which can be used as reliable indicators of fatigue level, have been distinguished. A hypothesis has been proposed on the availability of several compensatory mechanisms in maintenance of the work capacity in operators in long-term shift work. An integral index of the reliability of operators' activity has bee developed, allowing to assess the quality of work, using a wide range of intensities of the proposed signals as well as to receive data on the overall possibilities of an operator to process information at the given level of reliability.

Purpose: The paper presents effects of integrated management systems implementation. Integration of these systems makes possible organization image and working efficiency improvement. Design/methodology/approach: Despite of difficulties occurring during integrated management systems implementation the analyzed production enterprise achieved many advantages, for example: gaining of new customers, cost reduction through faults elimination, inside communication improvement, management improvement etc. Findings: In this article the analysis of workings in direction to integration of managements systems in the chosen production enterprise was showed. The first step of this integration was quality management system implementation which next was integrated with environmental management system and occupational health and safety management system. Research limitations/implications: Integrated management systems may functioning in all types of organizations. The one of the problems is high cost of this system working what causes belligerent attitude of management for systems integrations. Practical implications: Integrated management systems is an effective tool of development strategy realization what leads to processes improvement and competitive position betterment. Originality/value: As a result of integrated management systems functioning products of analyzed enterprise are: the best quality, they characterized minimum influence on the environment and they are manufactured in safety work conditions. It is a good direction for many organizations development.

Purpose: of the paper has been an attainment of the confirmation that improvement of the effectiveness and efficiency of the processes is indirectly connected with the definition and assurance of the human recourses, infrastructure and work environment needed and reflecting directly assurance of the occupational health and safety. Design/methodology/approach: used for the analysis has included: collection of the information necessary for the risk assessment, identification of the occupational threats and their results, occupational risk assessment using standard method and intermediate events tree method as well as determination of risk acceptability and the proposition of improving actions in the process. Findings: of analysis, which have been conducted, are as follows: the input of the improvement of every process is being determined by the choice of proper methods of analysis and assessment; in the aspect of the occupational health and safety management - methods of the occupational risk assessment. Practical implications: can apply in case of any organisation, which manages the occupational risk by usage of both: standard general method taking into account probability of the threats occurrence and severity of their results and improving detailed method taking into consideration probability of the initiating, intermediate and ending events occurrence and their results. Originality/value: of the presented paper has been constituted by the methodology using the standard method fulfilling legal requirements connected with the obligation of the occupational health and safety assessment and the intermediate events tree method satisfying expectations linked up with the improvement of the process.
