Storing emergency volume of water in reservoirs is the best method for rising reliability of water distribution system under conditions of interrupted water supply from water intakes. It has been shown, that placing of those reservoirs is of importance for limitation of negative effects of water supply interruptions. The article presents the method for setting the placement of emergency water volumes within the distribution system. It also shows that application of the proposed method allows for significant limitation of negative effects resulting from incidental water supply disruption.
