W artykule przedstawiono podstawowe parametry zbiornika i główne problemy jego realizacji, ilustrując je rysunkami i nielicznymi fotografiami. Załącznikiem do tego artykułu jest fotoreportaż z budowy zbiornika.

The Sulejów reservoir on Pilica, erected in the years 1969-1973, celebrates its 40th anniversary this year. The article presents the reservoir’s basic parameters and main problems encountered during its realisation, illustrated with drawings and photographs. The article also includes the footage of the reservoir construction.

Na przykładzie zbiornika wodnego Su-lejów omówiono zabieg biohydromanipu-lacji jako jeden ze sposobów regulowania jakości wody w ekosystemach. Wskazano na potrzebę kompleksowych działań mających na celu zarówno zmniejszenie dopływu do zbiornika ładunków azotu i fosforu, jak również wykorzystanie ekologicznych aspektów cyklu hydrologicznego.

Citing the example of the Sulejów water reservoir, the article presents the biohydromanipulation operation as one of methods of the water quality regulation in ecosystems. It indicates the need of complex actions aiming at reduction of nitrogen and phosphor loads inflow into the reservoir and using ecological aspects of the hydrologi-cal cycle.

Ponad dwadzieścia lat po uszczelnieniu zbiornika sulejowskiego folią pobrano próbki uszczelnień do badań cech wytrzymałościowych. Stwierdzono niewielkie ubytki wytrzymałości folii zarówno gdy chodzi o cechy mechaniczne, jak i przeciw filtracyjne. Stwierdzono, że okresowe badania folii, pierwotnie przewidziane w instrukcji eksploatacyjnej stopnia, nie są potrzebne.

Over twenty years after the Sulejów reservoir was sealed with foil the samples of seals were taken in order to examine their resistance features. Slight losses of foil mechanical and counter-filtration properties were detected. The conclusion is that the periodical foil examination, stipulated in the exploitation instruction of the dam, is not necessary.

Zbudowany w latach 1969-1973 zbiornik wodny Sulejów - pomimo dość starannie wykonanego przez CBSiPBW Hy-droprojekt w Warszawie projektu - wymagał wprowadzenia podczas budowy wielu zmian i uzupełnień. Większość z nich była pomysłem inwestora zbiornika, ale uwzględniono również wymagania przyszłych jego eksploatatorów, a także zalecenia Departamentu Inwestycji Centralnego Urzędu Gospodarki Wodnej. Omówienie tych zmian może mieć walory poznawcze dla przyszłych projektantów podobnych inwestycji.

Constructed in the years 1969-1973, the Sulejów water reservoir - in spite of its design, quite well prepared by the „Hydroprojekt" Central Bureau of Studies and Water Construction Design in Warsaw - required numerous modifications and supplements during its construction. The majority of them were introduced at the initiative of the reservoir investor but the requirements of the future exploiters and the recommendations of the Central Water Management Office Investment Department were also taken into consideration. The article presents those modifications, which may have cognitive values for the future designers of similar investments.
