W referacie skrótowo została przedstawiona historia Oddziału Tarnobrzeskiego SEP, który powstał w połowie lat siedemdziesiątych, na bazie już wcześniej istniejących przyzakładowych kół SEP. Pierwsze Koła które stały się podwaliną powstały na początku lat 50 i 60 i aktywnie działały do formalnego powołania Oddziału Tarnobrzeskiego SEP. Przedstawiono również kierunki i formy działalności Oddziału, władze i struktury w minionej kadencji oraz sylwetki najbardziej zasłużonych działaczy Oddziału.

The paper briefly presents the history of the Tarnobrzeg Branch of Polish Elekcrical Engineers (SEP), which was established in the mid-seventies, on the basis of pre-existing SEP Circles. The first Circles that became the foundation were established in the early 50s and 60s and actively worked for the formal establishment of the Tarnobrzeg Branch of SEP. The directions and forms of activity of the Branch, the authorities and structures in the previous term of office as well as the profiles of the most distinguished activists of the Branch were also presented. The Tarnobrzeg Branch of SEP, despite the fact that it does not belong to the group of the largest branches in Poland, and also does not have adequate scientific and research facilities, or a technical university can undoubtedly boast of a rich history and boast of numerous successes in its 45-year history of existence. Fulfilling its statutory objectives, it acts for the benefit of society and its members, continues the traditions of association striving to integrate the efforts of many generations of electricians for the technical progress of the region and work safety. The Branch's views on the future inspire optimism, especially when it comes to the fact that a new SEP school Circle has been created. Let's hope that young people will skillfully use their potential to cultivate the traditions and mission of our Association... "Association of Friends".

W referacie ukazano rolę Stowarzyszenia Elektryków Polskich w rozwoju polskiego przemysłu elektrotechnicznego. Przedstawiono wybrane inicjatywy środowiska Stowarzyszenia w organizacji przemysłu elektrotechnicznego w okresie od odzyskania przez Polskę niepodległości do czasów współczesnych. Omówiono w szczególności wkład SEP w przygotowanie tzw. ustawy elektrycznej z 21.03.1922 r., a także scharakteryzowano działalność Związku Firm Elektrotechnicznych oraz Związku Elektrowni Polskich. W dalszej części pracy przedstawiono wybrane kluczowe postacie szczególnie zasłużone dla jego rozwoju polskiego przemysłu elektrotechnicznego. W końcowej części pracy wskazano na rolę SEP w rozwoju gospodarki kraju w XXI wieku i sformułowano rekomendacje dla członków Stowarzyszenia.

The paper presents the role of the Association of Polish Electrical Engineers in the development of the Polish electrotechnical industry. It presents also selected initiatives of the Association in the organization of the electrical industry in the period from regaining independence by Poland to modern times. Discussed in particular the contribution of the SEP in the preparation of the so-called Electricity Act of 21.3.1922 r., and also characterized the activity Association of Electrotechnical Companies and the Association of Polish Power Stations. In the final part of the work indicated the desired role of the SEP in the development of the country's economy in the twenty-first century and formulated recommendations for members of the Association.
