Every large organization has problems coordinating the activities of all the employees. We study the practical aspects of using a main Management Information System , called MIS, to enable management by objectives. This method called MBO can be applied for a large audience, including the widely understood management of a company and consultants (sellers) whose job involves direct contact with customers. This paper presents a study of the phases of determining the specific sets of tasks for the financial year and the principles of their normalization (standardization).We discuss the necessary functionality of the MIS (or precisely - the applications which support the MBO process), which enables participants of the MBO process to create and maintain a list of task definitions at every level of the organization structure of a company.

Zarządzanie systemami podlega ciągłemu rozwojowi. Wpływ na to mają głównie pojawiające się coraz to nowe możliwości w zakresie sprzętu i oprogramowania oraz nowe wymagania stawiane tym systemom. Rozszerza się również zakres dziedzin zarządzania. W artykule omówiono czynniki mające istotny wpływ na ewolucję systemów zarządzania, modele tych systemów oraz wspomagające je technologie. Szczególną uwagę poświęcono zarządzaniu bazującemu na usłudze WWW (WBEM).

Systems management are being developed, deployed and improved. The main reasons for that are new abilities in hardware and software technologies and new requirements for those systems. Systems management has been expanded to include many other management domains. The paper describes major evolving trends in management area, models and supporting technologies. The stress is put on Web based management (WBEM).
