Zasadniczym celem artykułu jest identyfikacja zmian w zarządzaniu kapitałem obrotowym przedsiębiorstw sekcji transportu i gospodarki magazynowej w Polsce w latach 2013–2018. Tematyka ta została ukazana przez pryzmat zmian w poziomie kapitału obrotowego brutto i netto, zmian cyklu konwersji gotówki i jego składowych oraz wskaźników pozycji kredytowej. Powyższe zagadnienia rodzą szczególne zainteresowanie w obliczu, notowanego w Polsce od ponad trzech lat, wzrostu liczby przedsiębiorstw niewypłacalnych. Tendencja ta jest najbardziej nasilona w odniesieniu do przedsiębiorstw transportowych. W artykule uwaga została zwrócona także na zmiany, jakie miały miejsce w otoczeniu badanej sekcji. Zostały one nakreślone przez pryzmat dynamiki PKB, wartości dodanej brutto transportu i gospodarki magazynowej, liczby przedsiębiorstw oraz obrotów rozważanej sekcji w latach 2017–2019, czyli w okresie nasilonego wzrostu dynamiki przedsiębiorstw niewypłacalnych. Postępowanie badawcze obejmowało badania literatury oraz analizę danych statystycznych w wybranych okresach.

The main aim of this paper is to identify changes in the working capital management of enterprises in the transport and storage sector in Poland in the years 2013–2018. This problem is considered taking into account the level of gross and net working capital, changes in the cash conversion cycle and its components as well as net trade credit position. The above issues are of particular interest due to the increase in the number of insolvent companies in Poland for three years, especially in the case of transport enterprises. The attention was driven at the changes in the environment of the analysed sector — GDP growth, gross value added of transport and warehouse, number of enterprises and sales in this sector in 2017–2019, i.e. during the period of increased growth of insolvent enterprises. The research included literature review and statistical data analysis in selected periods.

This paper describes the basis - resulting among others from the prudential capital regulations - for capital management at a commercial bank. In the capital management process there are used capital allocation and risk adjusted performance measures. Based on this, the concept of the central MIS extension has been presented in a way that allows to include a wide range of different level managers in the capital management process in order to improve the capital efficiency from the perspective of shareholders.

The financial liquidity management is very important in the management of the contemporary companies. The current situation of the financial liquidity in a company depends on the changes of the level of working capital. The applied strategies of working capital effect on the level of working capital. In the paper the attention was turned to this dependance and it is described how the strategies influence the level of working capital.

W artykule podniesiono problematykę dyskontowych metod oceny opłacalności projektów inwestycyjnych. Baza informacji wyjściowych tych ogólnych metod, nie wnikając w trudności z ich określeniem, jest stosunkowo niewielka. Tym bardziej zasadne są starania zmierzające do uogólnienia formuł metod oceny i podania granic praktycznej użyteczności. W związku tym dokonano krótkiej ich prezentacji, wykazując wzajemne powiązania. Szczególną uwagę zwrócono na długookresowe kryteria oceny efektywności gospodarowania włączając w krąg rozważań (oprócz koncepcji metody dodatkowego oprocentowania oraz metody średniorocznej stopy zwrotu kapitału całkowitego) dodatkowo średnioroczną stopę zwrotu kapitału własnego inwestora.

The paper presents problems of discounted evaluation method of investment projects payback. Information base of this general method is rather thin. Therefore, the activity tending to formulas of evaluation generalization and this formulas availability defining are valid. Author presents some formulas and relations among them and pays attention to longstanding criteria of effectiveness evaluations. The medium-yearly return on equity is considered.
