The safety of a logistics system is understood as ensuring (to a certain level) the implementation of operational logistics processes in any entity, under specific conditions, by using favourable circumstances, taking business challenges, reducing risk, uncertainty and preventing all kinds of threats to logistics activities. The relevant determinant of the management of logistics system safety is appropriate infrastructure which enables the implementation of logistic processes and guarantees their effectiveness and efficiency. The infrastructure determines logistics performance measured by the logistics performance index (LPI). The aim of the article is to identify the logistics system safety measures in a macro approach and to determine the impact of logistic efficiency on the management of logistics system safety.

Artykuł zawiera treści związane z modelem oraz modelowaniem w obszarze zarządzania bezpieczeństwem systemu logistycznego. Na wstępie zaprezentowane zostały autorskie definicje bezpieczeństwa systemu logistycznego i zarządzania bezpieczeństwem systemu logistycznego. Następnie opisano strukturę systemu logistycznego i graficznie przedstawiono model, ze szczególnym zwróceniem uwagi na przepływ strumienia rzeczowego i informacji. W dalszej części zaprezentowano etapy modelowania zarządzania bezpieczeństwem systemów logistycznych oraz graficznie przedstawiono model zarządzania jego bezpieczeństwem.

The article encompasses issues related to the model and modeling in the area of the safety management of logistics system. In the introduction authorial definitions of logistics system safety and safety management in logistics system were presented. Next, the structure of the logistics system was described and a model, with particular emphasis on the flow of material and Information was graphically presented. At the end, stages of safety management modeling in logistics systems were outlined. Furthermore, the safety management model was presented in graphical form.
