W artykule przedstawiono poziom zanieczyszczenia związkami azotu wód w studniach przydomowych powiatu łosi-ckiego w woj. mazowieckim. Stwierdzono, że w przypadku 86% badanych wód studziennych ludność spożywała wraz z wodą azotany(V) powyżej wartości ADI, czyli poniżej marginesu bezpieczeństwa.

The article present the level of house well waters in Łosicki poviat, Mazowieckie voivodeship, pollution with nitrogen compounds. It indicates that in case of 86% of the analysed well waters, people consumed nitrates(V) above the ADI value, i.e. below the safety margin.

Nitrogen Directive of the European Union (9I/676/ECC) covering the protection of waters against pollution caused by nitrates from agricultural sources obliges each EU Member State to indicate their surface waters sensitive to nitrogen compounds pollution. Polish Legal Acts and results of monitoring studies from Voivodeship Environmental Protection Inspectorate in Krakow created basis for determination of above waters on the territory covered by operation ofRZGWin Krakow. As a result, a complete list of sectors of different rivers recognised as already polluted and/or endangered by further pollution on the territory covered by operation of RZGWin Kraków was created.

W artykule przeprowadzono analizę Długookresowych zmian poziomu zanieczyszczenia wybranych rzek Przymorza związkami azotu w okresie 1989-2000. W badaniach wykorzystano wyniki pomiarów jakości wody oraz przepływów uzyskanych z Państwowej Inspekcji Ochrony Środowiska oraz z Instytutu Meteorologii i Gospodarki Wodnej. Spośród związków azotu badane były: azot amonowy, azot azotanowy, azot azotynowy, azot organiczny oraz azot ogólny. Na podstawie wyników badań przedstawiono wnioski dotyczące trendów zmian poziomu zanieczyszczenia wód związkami azotu w badanym okresie i ich przyczyn.

In the paper there is presented an analysis of long-term changes in the level of pollution of Pomeranian rivers by nitrogen compounds in the period 1989-2000. In the investigation have been utilized results of water quality measurements and data on flow values received from the State Inspectorate of Environment Protection and from the Institute of Meteorology and Water Management. The measurements of concentration of nitrogen compounds comprised: ammonium nitrogen, nitrate nitrogen, nitrite nitrogen, organic nitrogen and total nitrogen. On the basis of results of investigation there are presented conclusions concerning trends of changes in the level of pollution of river water by nitrogen compounds in the mention above period and reasons for those changes.
