In the Polish cultural tradition there is a marked contribution from farmsteads building. A village is a testimony of ages and the oldest form of human setlement. Its spatial pattern has been and is still formed by the habitation with its typical elements. Traditional culture and architecture has never been homogenous and the history of culture is presented by the buildings. In the course of centuries characteristic habitation complexes with the systems or the system typical of them have been formed. An enclosed self-contained homestead - homestead of a rich farmer has been formed. However houses, regional areas and habitats (biotopes) should be seved from oblivion to bee the testimony witness to the dwelling places, lives and work of our forefathers. The regional architecture correlates, cooparates and coexists with principles qualifying the organic, habitat, ecological and homely architecture.
