Kościół pod wezwaniem św. Jana Apostoła i Ewangelisty w Zakopanem - Harendzie jest reprezentatywnym przykładem budownictwa drewnianego. W obrębie konstrukcji zaobserwowano nieprawidłowości wymagające przeprowadzenia prac remontowo-naprawczych. Do najważniejszych problemów można zaliczyć uszkodzenia drewnianej ściany północno-wschodniej, która przechyla się w górnej części do wnętrza kościoła, nadmierne zawilgocenie węgłów ścian, osiowe pęknięcia drewnianych mieczy oraz korozję biologiczną niektórych elementów konstrukcyjnych. Zaproponowano wiele niezbędnych prac interwencyjnych, które zapewnią użytkowanie obiektu przez kolejna lata i zabezpieczą cenną wartość kulturową zabytku.

The church of St. John the Apostle and Evangelist in Zakopane - Harenda is a representative example of wooden construction. There were irregularities in the structure during the inspection that required renovation and repair work. The most critical problems include damage to the north-eastern wooden wall, which tilts in the upper part towards the church's interior, excessive moisture in the wall corners, axial cracks and biological corrosion in wooden structural elements. Therefore, several necessary intervention works were proposed, which should ensure the serviceability of the building for the following years and protect the valuable cultural value of the monument.
