The state should provide career soldiers with conditions which enable them full dedication to the service for the Nation and the Country and an appropriate standard of life as a compensation of the effort and repudiations connected with conducting career military service. The analysis of the present pay system and social provisions of the Polish Armed Forces career soldiers has been presented in the article. Due to our entry to NATO, an attempt has been made to work out soldiers’ new pay system. The article includes basic information for young Polish military cadre who are not fully aquatinted yet with the system of pay and social provisions for career soldiers.
