The article briefly describes the historical background of the creation of the “Basznia II” Sulphur Mine. The aim of the publication is to show two periods of the mine’s operation: 1976–1993 and after the ownership change, from 2011 until today. The focus was to describe current history related to development of necessary documentation, preparation of investment process, and construction and challenges faced during normal operation of the “Basznia II” Sulphur Mine.
