The aim of this study is to evaluate the energy consumption, in general, for open-end rotor type yarn manufacturing systems and to examine the energy consumption in a chosen spinning mill by considering available data including installed power as well as monthly and yearly energy usage. A simple theoretical approach for predicting specific energy consumption in a particular yarn type produced in the spinning mill selected has been developed. The results obtained by applying this model to a specific yarn have been compared with relevant values available in literature.

Celem artykułu jest ocena zużycia energii dla produkcji przędz rotorowych. Jak również analiza przykładu określonej przędzalni, uwzględniając dostępne dane w tym zainstalowaną moc oraz roczne i miesięczne zużycie energii. Opracowano prostą teoretyczną metodę przewidywania zużycia energii dla określonego typu przędzy, produkowanej w wybranej przędzalni. Uzyskane wyniki porównano z wynikami podawanymi w literaturze.

The aim of this study was to evaluate the energy consumption, in general, for ring type yarn manufacturing systems and to examine the energy consumption in a chosen spinning mill by considering the available data including installed power, monthly and yearly energy usage. A simple theoretical approach for predicting the specific energy consumption in a particular yarn type produced in chosen spinning mill was developed. Celem tej pracy było określenie ogólnego zużycia energii w procesie przędzenia obrączkowego oraz zbadanie zużycia energii w wybranych przędzalniach wziąwszy pod uwagę dostępne dane dotyczące zainstalowanej mocy oraz miesięcznego zuzycia energii. Opracowano proste, teoretyczne podejście do problemu przewidywania zużycia energii podczas produkcji konkretnego typu przędzy w wybranej przędzalni. Wyniki uzyskane poprzez zastosowanie tego modelu do określonej przędzy zostały porównane z dostępnymi na ten temat danymi literaturowymi.

The evolution of the modem ring spinning frame, like of most other textile machines, bas been stimulated by experiment rather than theoretical analysis. That is why the efforts made to develop mathematical models of the dynamics of the main working systems of the machine, as well as relevant computer programs to simulate their operation, are so important a step towards more perfect engineering. The present work is an attempt at theoretical analysis of the twisting-and-winding system of a ring spinning frarne of whieh the technical characteristics are presented in Fig. 1.1.
