An embargo is an official suspension of import and/or export of. Some specificy or all goods. It can be declared either by one country, or by a group of countries, against a specific country for political, health, or labour related reasons, for a, specifited or indefinite period. The aim is to isolate it, pressure its government and force it to reverse a specific policy. This embargo may also be called “economic sanctions”.
