W artykule przedstawiono rezultaty analizy porównawczej wyszukiwarek Google i Yandex. Analizę przeprowadzono pod kątem szybkości wyszukiwania oraz liczby znalezionych wyników. Przy pomocy metody kryteriów ważonych porównano Google i Yandex dla wyszukiwania w języku angielskim i rosyjskim. Analiza wielokryterialna pozwoliła wskazać wyszukiwarkę o szybszych i wydajniejszych algorytmach.

The article presents the results of a comparative analysis Google’s and Yandex’s search algorithms. The analysis was made from the point of view of search speed and number of results. Google and Yandex were compared for search in Russian and English language, using the method of weighted criteria. Multi-criteria analysis allowed to find faster and efficient search engine.

In this paper the challenges in building good search engines are discussed. Many of the search engines use well-known information retrieval algorithms and techniques. They use Web crawlers to maintain their index databases amortizing the cost of crawling and indexing over the millions of queries received by them. Web crawlers are programs that exploit the graph structure of the Web to move from page to page. Paper analyses the PageRank algorithm one of these Web crawlers. The results of the impact of the PageRank parameter value on the effectiveness of determining the so-called PageRank vector are considered in the paper. Investigations are illustrated by means of the results of a some simulation experiments to analyze the PageRank algorithm efficiency for different density graph (representing analyzed part of www) coefficient values.

Sztuczna inteligencja może przyczynić się do poprawy działań związanych z zarządzaniem operacyjnym w przypadku informatyzacji społeczeństwa. W związku z powyższym, w artykule zaproponowano wykorzystanie systemu eksperckiego w przemyśle metalurgicznym, szczególnie w procesach odlewania części niezbędnych w przemyśle kopalnianym.

Przedstawiono wyniki wyszukiwania w internecie informacji związanych z inżynieria rolniczą. Badania przeprowadzone na grupie 125 osób miały na celu sprawdzenie, jakich słów kluczowych użyją respondenci, w celu odszukania konkretnej informacji związanej z inżynierią rolniczą.

The paper presents the results of searching out the information relating to agriculture engineering in the internet. The research on a group of 125 persons was carried out in order to find out what key words respondents use to search out specific information relating to agriculture engineering.
