The shipping process should be carried out to minimize standing time, as it affects the total vehicle mileage. The efficiency of distributing cargo on routes in modern conditions could be achieved by transporting cargo taken from several manufacturers that have mutually comparable mileages. This paper analyzes common methods of cargo distribution by routes. It was established that the approximate methods that provide near- optimal solutions to problems have become widespread. Therefore, there is no alternative to using accurate methods in the process of studying the routing problem. One such method is the branch-and-bond method. It should also be noted that it does not involve going to the same place multiple times, which takes place in a real transport scheme. Thus, the modification of accurate methods is a promising direction in solving the routing problem in the process of transporting the goods in small consignments. Consequently, this provides an opportunity to effectively use motor transport in the logistic system.

The impact of the transportation route on the price for the realized transport

The price for the transport is determined by the carriers based on the costs incurred when the carriers transporting. Carriers are currently able to identify variable costs, the height of which changes with the change in the realized output and also fixed costs, which are dependent on the operating time of the means of transport. Carriers have the differences in the cost of the shipment for each destination they judge through the differences in charges for the use of the road network. It is also necessary to consider the possibility to backhaul transportation the vehicle for concrete transportation. The aim of this article is to verify the hypothesis, whether the change of the transport route is affected at the carrier's expense and in case, that is to quantify the impact of the transport route to the price for the transport carried out. We assume the effect of changing the shipping route also changes over time, therefore, the goal of the contribution is to identify changes the impact of the shipping route on the price within one week and to identify whether changes are developing in individual countries in the same process. Research is conducted on the basis of a situation survey in 19 European countries over a period of more than 3 months.

The idea of a modern warehouse operation is the fastest possible execution of customer orders, which is based on the meticulous planning of large amounts of complex logistics processes. More and more companies decide to introduce computerized warehouse management system – WMS. Doing so allows you to optimize warehouse processes of storage, picking and dispensing which translates into increased profits inventory management while reducing costs.

W artykule przedstawiono wyniki badań przeprowadzone w jednym z centrów technicznych projektujących podzespoły samochodowe oraz w fabryce zlokalizowanych w Polsce. Autorzy skoncentrowali się na realizacji wysyłek komponentów prototypowych do klienta zewnętrznego. We wstępie artykułu postawiono hipotezę, że istnieje potrzeba przeszkolenia działu logistyki z zakresu pakowania i zabezpieczania komponentów prototypowych do wysyłki drogą lądową i powietrzną, bądź przeniesienie odpowiedzialności na zleceniodawców wysyłki, aby ci opracowywali sposób zabezpieczenia podzespołów do transportu. W toku rozważań próbuje się uzasadnić postawioną hipotezę posługując się wynikami analizy przeprowadzonej na studium przypadków. Wnioski z przeprowadzonych analiz ukierunkowano na zwiększenie satysfakcji klienta oraz obniżenie strat finansowych związanych z wymianą prototypów po szkodzie transportowej.

The article presents the results of research done in one of the technical centres in automobile company. The authors focused on the implementation of the prototype components shipments to the external customer. In the introduction the article has been hypothesized that there is a need of coaching of the logistic department in case of protecting prototype components for shipment. Researchers are trying to justify the hypothesis using the results of case study. The conclusions of these studies were directed to increase customer satisfaction and reduce financial losses associated with the exchange of prototypes after transportation damage.

Rozwój technologii RFID i prowadzona od kilku lat akcja upowszechniana jej potencjalnych możliwości przynosi coraz więcej zastosowań. Dostępność wielu różnych częstotliwości i rozwiązań konstrukcyjnych znaczników (ta-gów) pozwala użytkownikom na szerokie perspektywy wyboru aplikacji. Ocenia się, że prawdziwe korzyści ze stosowania RFID nastąpią dopiero przy większej integracji tej techniki w aplikacjach łańcucha dostaw.
