Ultra-high-density polyethylene (UHMWPE) is one of the most versatile polymers used in modern industry. Its exceptional mechanical, chemical, and thermal properties make it suitable for use in diverse fields, from the packaging industry to biomedical engineering. UHMWPE is a variety of polyethylene characterized by very high molecular density. As a result, UHMWPE possesses excellent mechanical strength, abrasion resistance, and high stiffness, making it an exceptionally durable material resistant to various environmental factors. In terms of practical applications, UHMWPE is widely used in the production of pipes, tanks, packaging, structural components, and medical devices. Its low density, corrosion resistance, and excellent damping properties make it a valued material in many industries. In this article, the practical focus was to present the results of tests conducted on an INSTRON tensile testing machine to determine the precise range of stresses and elongations at break for Dyneema® fibers, as well as to determine the indices and statistical calculations for these measurements. The tests confirmed the significant strength of these fibers, comparable to the best fibers used in industrial products, and their low elongation, which limits their applicability to elastic products. However, their use in rigid products, such as ropes, fabrics, and composites, is justified, and practical applications are briefly presented in the article, divided into various industrial sectors.
