Analysis of the differentiated Internet use in the activity of the EU enterprises in 2014

The article aims at identification of dependencies occurring in relation to the Internet use in the activities of enterprises in the European Union countries in 2014. The research hypothesis assumed that the spatial diversity exists in the European Union in the area under study. The article presents the results of research conducted on the basis of data from the European Statistical Office regarding the use of the Internet in the activities of enterprises in 2014. The study covered 28 countries in the European Union. On account of the nature of research, the methods of Multidimensional Comparative Analysis were employed. The acquired knowledge has a cognitive dimension and can be applied in practice to set tasks for leveling out the development differences with regard to the European regional policy in the subsequent financial perspectives.

Celem badawczym artykułu było zidentyfikowanie zależności występujących na płaszczyźnie wykorzystania Internetu w działalności przedsiębiorstw państw Unii Europejskiej w 2014 roku. Testowaną hipotezą było stwierdzenie, że w Unii Europejskiej w badanym obszarze istnieje zróżnicowanie przestrzenne. W artykule zaprezentowano wyniki badań przeprowadzonych na podstawie danych pochodzących z Europejskiego Urzędu Statystycznego, dotyczących wykorzystania Internetu w działalności przedsiębiorstw w 2014 roku. Badaniem objęto 28 państw Unii Europejskiej. Ze względu na charakter badań, w pracy zastosowano metody Wielowymiarowej Analizy Porównawczej. Pozyskana wiedza ma wymiar poznawczy, a zastosowana w praktyce może zostać wykorzystana do ustalania zadań dotyczących wyrównywania różnic rozwojowych na płaszczyźnie europejskiej polityki regionalnej w kolejnych perspektywach finansowych.

W artykule przedstawiono wyniki badań dotyczących wykorzystania Internetu przez bibliotekarzy środowiska opolskiego. Pracownicy poszczególnych działów bibliotek wysoko oceniają stopień zaspokojenia potrzeb informacyjnych za pomocą Internetu zarówno w pracy zawodowej jak i w życiu codziennym, jednak już ocena wiarygodności źródeł internetowych jest znacznie niższa. Według ankietowanych bibliotekarz będzie potrzebny w XXI wieku i nie musi się obawiać ograniczenia swojej roli na rzecz zdalnego dostępu do e-zbiorów.

In the article results of research concerning of the Internet utilization by Opole librarians were presented. The employees of each library divisions high estimate satisfaction degrees of inquiry needs by means of Internet both on the professional job as and in the everyday life, however already the estimation of the reliability of internet sources is far lower. Inquiries also high estimate the position of the librarian in the library XXI century and don't afraid the limitation of his role for the dial access to e-collections.

W artykule przedstawiono zagadnienia związane z powstaniem i rozwojem sieci Internet. Poruszone zostały kwestie historii i genezy powstania sieci, omówiono zasady działania sieci, scharakteryzowano podstawowe usługi Internetu, ich sposób działania i wykorzystanie, oraz dostępne sposoby dostępu do globalnej sieci. Na zakończenie poruszono kwestie związane z profesjonalnym wykorzystaniem Internetu w technice i nauce.

Niniejszy artykuł przedstawia wyniki badania przy pomocy techniki ankiety dotyczące wykorzystania Internetu przez przedsiębiorstwa województwa lubuskiego do prognozowania. Zbadano motywy korzystania z Internetu w celach prognostycznych. W przypadku przedsiębiorstw nieprognozujących zapytano o ewentualne plany budowania prognoz zwłaszcza w oparciu o Internet. Ustalono częstotliwość korzystania z Internetu i stopień zaufania do danych i prognoz internetowych.

This article shows some aspects of using Internet in finding dates and forecasts for applying them to process of forecasting. There are some results of questionnaire research made by the author in the article: if firms use Internet in finding suitable dates and forecasts, why they use it if they do, why not and do they plan to do it in future. Moreover, in the article there are the answers of the questions about such problems us: how often they use it, what information they look for, what they think about quality of dates and forecasts.

We discuss the curriculum of the three-years Study Programme "Physics of the Environment" at the Warsaw University Physics Department. The teaching in this Programme presents a special challenge being two years shorter than the usual M.Sc. studies, yet covering much broader range of topics and, in fact, different academic disciplines. We stress the need to develop the skill of making viable approximations and obtain meaningful and valuable assesments even when the data are limited and the in-depth knowledge of all processes involved cannot be gained in the time given. The practical implementation of this interdisciplinary approach starts with the integration of the syllabi of different courses which are interwoven and address different aspects of the same physical phenomenon. The cross-border nature of the environmental problems requires good communication and foreign language skills. We intend to involve our students in the activities of Baltic University where they should be able to interact with their foreign colleagues.
