Artykuł zawiera opis rozwiązania zagadnienia odczytu kamerą wielkości mierzonych przez przyrząd pomiarowy z wyświetlaczem cyfrowym, pozbawiony komunikacji z komputerem. Przedstawiono układ ustalania pozycji kamery względem przyrządu, sposób definiowania obszaru obrazu zawierającego sekcje wyświetlacza oraz metodę jego przetwarzania w oparciu o sztuczną sieć neuronową typu Hebba.

In metrological practice, there are measurements using instruments that do not record the measured values in cooperation with the computer. Then, the source of information about the measured quantity is the image of the digital display of the measuring instrument, which should be read and interpreted. It's easy to make a mistake in long-term measurements. The measuring system equipped with a camera cooperating with the program for reading the digital display of the measuring device, eliminates mistakes in readings and the inconvenience of creating their register. Measuring station should enable comfortable positioning of the camera relative to the measuring instrument, precise mechanism of locating the display section on its image and a certain tolerance of the method of interpreting the image to changing lighting conditions while maintaining the correct reading of the instrument's readings. The picture of the display section obtained as a result of normalization is processed by the artificial Hebba type neural network, resulting in measurement values that can be recorded in electronic form.
