Artykuł dotyczy problematyki organizacji zabezpieczenia logistycznego wojsk biorących udział we współczesnych operacjach. Celem publikacji jest identyfikacja zadań logistycznych realizowanych przez organy narodowe, wielonarodowe oraz przedsiębiorstwa cywilne w operacjach na terenie kraju i poza jego granicami. W artykule dokonano charakterystyki współczesnych operacji a następnie opisano procesy wsparcia i zabezpieczenia logistycznego wojsk biorących w nich udział. W poszczególnych częściach publikacji przedstawiono zadania logistyczne jakie w ostatnio prowadzonych operacjach militarnych były realizowane przez narodowy system logistyczny, logistykę wielonarodową oraz kontraktorów cywilnych. Autor podejmuje również próbę wskazania kierunków w jakich powinny rozwijać się koncepcje organizacji zabezpieczenia logistycznego przyszłych operacji.

The article concerns the problems of the organization of logistic support of forces participating in current operations. The purpose of the publication is an identification of logistics tasks performed by national and multinational logistics as well as the civil contractors. The article presents the characteristics of current operations and then describes their logistic support. The individual parts of the publication present logistic tasks that in recent military operations were carried out by the national logistics system, multinational logistics and civil contractors. The author also indicates the directions in which the concepts of organizing logistic support of future operations should develop.

This article shows the issue of the integration of the outside contractors with contractors who are limited in process of supporting the military forces in missions and operations. In the initial part of the article, the author focused reader's attention on possible conditions of contemporary conflicts and the profile of military operations, which in the consequence led to the presentation of criteria of a choice of suppliers and the principles of contracting the services, which includes the next sections of the article.

A new form of logistic processes’ organisation has appeared in our country recently. One of these forms are Logistic Centres. The author presented possible directions of employing Logistic Centres to render logistic services for our units and sub-units in peacetime, crisis and war.

The subject of Area Materiel Base functioning in the materiel subsystem of the Polish Armed Forces is very important and currently draws particular attention. The role and importance of stationary logistic units is essential not only due to supplies but also in the categories of economic branch which relieves operational forces of current tasks to provide the training process. Last years ’ experiences gained during the Polish Armed Forces’ restructuring showed that the materiel sub-system is constantly undergoing analyses, changes and adaptation to tasks posed by contemporary battlefield. Taking into consideration the need to adjust the Polish Armed Forces’ logistic system to dynamically changing market economy and Alliance’s requirements, the necessity has emerged to increase the supply chain reliability of military armament and equipment and services rendered to meet the Polish Armed Forces demands. The conditions mentioned above were the basis to divide the territory of Poland into supply areas, balance the needs and possibilities of particular areas and the whole territory of the country and define logistic potential’s organisational structures.
