The article is devoted to the specific character of the formation of art-clusters as a new type of buildings. Today, the theme of redevelopment of unprofitable industrial enterprises for art objects is extremely relevant for Ukraine and Poland (where a powerful experience of such complexes is accumulated). A feature of such modern establishments is that this is a space of a fundamentally new type, based on fundamentally new principles, where the preserved in its original form, facade and the modern functional content are combined. Since such industrial buildings are often architectural monuments, a complex of the restoration and renovation measures becomes important.

Architektura dnia wczorajszego ma znaczenie także dziś, nie zawsze obecna fizycznie doznawana jest przez zachowanie mentalne związane z uwarunkowaniami choćby kulturowymi. W obecnym czasie jej znaczenie może być niezmienne, nieco mniejsze lub większe. Podobnie dzieje się z jej przeznaczeniem. Zazwyczaj obiekty przeszłości adaptowane są na cele współczesne, tak by ich użyteczność była ważnym elementem funkcjonowania we współczesnej przestrzeni. W artykule zaprezentowane zostały nowe realizacje dotyczące starej architektury. Opierają się one na działaniach restauracyjnych, modernizacyjnych lub związanych z rewitalizacją. Działania te dostosowują architekturę różnych okresów do wymagań czasów obecnych, przez co obiekty architektoniczne nie przemijają, trwają nieprzerwanie, próbując sprostać nowym wymaganiom i często nowym funkcją jakie pełnią. Przeszłość i teraźniejszość niemal się równoważy w chwili, gdy do głosu dochodzi architektura regionu. Bez względu na przynależność i charakter architektura dnia wczorajszego może być postrzegana jako fragment tego, co ważne dziś.

Yesterday's architecture is important today as well. Not always physically present, it is experienced through mental behavior related to cultural conditions. Nowadays, its importance may be unchangeable, a little lower or higher. The same applies to its intended use. Objects of the past are usually adapted for contemporary purposes which makes their usefulness an important element of functioning in a contemporary space. This article presents some new implementations concerning old architecture. They are based upon some restoring, modernizing or revitalizing actions which adjust architecture from various periods to current requirements. That is why architectural objects do not fade away - they remain and try to satisfy new requirements and, frequently, the new functions they fulfill. The past and the present seem to be in balance when the architecture of a region has its say. Regardless of its affiliation and character, the architecture of the past may be perceived as a fragment of what is important at present.
