W artykule zostały przedstawione ogólne informacje o infrastrukturze transportu, zaprezentowano stosowne mierniki rozwoju infrastruktury. Na tej podstawie wykonano obliczenia podstawowych wskaźników charakteryzujących stan infrastruktury w Polsce w latach 2001- 2011. Ponadto oceniono przydatność omawianych wskaźników w podejmowaniu decyzji infrastrukturalnych.

This article contains general information about the transport infrastructure, appropriate measures presented infrastructure development. On this basis, the computations were performed basic indicators characterizing the state of infrastructure in Poland in the years 2001-2011. In addition, highlights the limitations of these indicators, which should know the person making the interpretation.

W artykule przedstawiono problematykę zrównoważonego systemu transportu a następnie w tym aspekcie dokonano charakterystyki infrastruktury transportu z uwzględnieniem jej wpływu na realizację procesów przewozowych. Dokonano również charakterystyki wybranych wskaźników monitorujących wykorzystanie różnych form transportu. Ponadto w artykule przedstawiono identyfikację wybranych wskaźników dotyczących struktury przewozowej, dostępności do sieci transportowej oraz oceny infrastruktury transportu.

Paper presents the issue of balanced transport system also in this context the characteristics of the transport infrastructure including its impact on the realization of transport processes were made. The characteristics of the selected indicators that monitor the use of different modes have also been made. In addition, the paper presents identification of selected indicators on the structure of transport, accessibility to transport networks and the evaluation of transport infrastructure.

This article presents characteristics of the transport infrastructure in terms of its impact on the implementation of transport processes. Also the characterization of selected indicators to monitor the usage of different forms of transport was provided In addition, the article contains identification of some indicators concerning the structure of transport, accessibility to transport networks and the evaluation of transport infrastructure in terms of its sustainable development.

W artykule dokonano identyfikacji i charakterystyki infrastruktury transportu jako elementu niezbędnego do efektywnego funkcjonowania Systemu Logistycznego Polski. Ponadto zwrócono uwagę na parametry charakteryzujące infrastrukturę oraz potrzebę opracowania jednolitej bazy danych z podstawowymi charakterystykami infrastruktury transportu. Artykuł zawiera również identyfikację wybranych wskaźników oceny infrastruktury oraz wizualizację wybranych charakterystyk z wykorzystaniem aplikacji komputerowej VISUM.

The article presents identification and characterization of transport infrastructure which is needed element for effective functioning of the Logistics System of Poland. Moreover attention was paid to parameters that characterize the infrastructure and the need of developing a uniform database of the basic characteristics of transport infrastructure. The article contains the identification of selected indicators to assess infrastructure as well as visualization of selected characteristics with the usage of computer application VISUM.
