W artykule przedstawiono metodykę budowy modeli materiałowych złącza spawanego, które zastosowano do symulacji tłoczenia blachy metodą elementów skończonych. Przeprowadzono weryfikację numeryczną każdego modelu, w oparciu o wyniki doświadczeń fizycznych w warunkach laboratoryjnych oraz półprzemysłowych.

Tailor welded blanks have forming properties considerably different from those of homogenous blanks, therefore special design rules have been worked out. The paper presents results of series of experiments carried out with tailor welded blanks ranging from tension tests to tests of industrial origin. Material testing of tailored blanks has led to a physical model of the joint, in which three material zones are represented: weld area, heat-affected zone and base material. The material properties of these zones can be established by micro-hardness measurements in the neighbourhood of the weld and base materials. Physical model of the joint has been used in the numerical model and numerical simulation has been carried out with Stampack numerical program. Different possibilities of finite element discretization have been considered. In order to increase computational efficiency, a simplified model has been used with the weld being represented by an equivalent beam element. In this model the action of the weld material in the direction of the weld line is taken into account only. The deformation of the weld in the transverse direction is neglected. Results of numerical simulation are presented in the paper and compared with experiments.
