The purpose of this study is to outline the current problems with the company's documentation workflow process and propose a plan to implement a new automated system to eliminate waste and improve the company's cash flow. Every enterprise is required to accurately record business operations. Accounting is the foundation of an organization, serving not only to meet legal requirements, but also to support management processes. In the case of large enterprises, complex accounting carries the risk of problems with timely and correct accounting, which can lead to delays in payments, reminders, collection procedures and interruptions in deliveries. As a result, it becomes crucial to put processes in place to safeguard liquidity. The study includes an analysis of the company's current documentation workflow process and identification of problems associated with it. A plan is then proposed to implement a new automated system to eliminate waste. The methodology is based on an analysis of the company's internal data and available technological solutions. The main results of the study include the identification of existing problems in the documentation workflow process and a plan for implementing a new system. The findings indicate that improving process efficiency can help increase the company's cash flow. The study introduces a new perspective on records management in enterprises, especially in the context of eliminating waste and improving liquidity. The theoretical value of the work lies in identifying opportunities for effective records management in the context of supporting business processes. The introduction of an automated documentation workflow system can bring practical benefits, such as reducing payment delays, avoiding debt collection procedures and improving the overall efficiency of business operations.

In this article, the computational simulation of the workflow in the primary combustion chamber flame tube of the afterburning turbofan jet engine (ATJE) on the tactical military aircraft was carried out. The geometric model of a flame tube was created and adapted to perform the interrelated calculation of the thermal and stress-strain behaviour of the walls of the flame tube influenced by the operational loads during the computational simulation of the workflow. Quantitative and qualitative analysis of the simulation results was conducted, and the connection between the peculiarities of the workflow and the characteristic damage of the flame tubes, detected during the operation, was established. The possibility of using modern CAD/CAE systems to solve the scientific tasks towards maximizing the cycle life potential of the main and primarily important components of the ATJE on the assessment basis of their damage exhaustion degree was determined.

The aim of the following research it to provide assumptions for creating workflow efficiency model that can be implemented in repeatable production workstations. One of the main components of this model are human activities and their interactions with other elements of working environment: human and artefacts. Recognition of patterns of human behaviours within working processes gives the opportunity to find critical points that influence workflow efficiency. The subject of research is a working process existing in meat producing plant. The main method used for recognizing human activity patterns was observation and qualitative and quantitative assessments of operational activities based on video registration. Particularly, human activities were analyzed under ergonomics criteria in order to proof dependencies between process efficiency and specific ergonomic factors forming working conditions at meat plant.

Semi-structural data tend to be problematic due to the sparsity of their attributes and due to the fact that, regardless of their type, they are immensely diverse. This means that data storage is a challenge, especially when the data contained within a relational database – often a strict requirement defined in advance. In this paper, we present a thoroughly described concept of a repository that is capable of storing and processing semi-structural data. Based on this concept, we establish a database model comprising the architecture and the tools needed to search the data and build relevant processors. The processor described may assign roles and dispatch tasks between the users. We demonstrate how the capacities of this repository are capable of overcoming current limitations by creating a system for facilitated digitization of scientific resources. In addition, we show that the repository in question is suitable for general use, and, as such, may be adapted to any domains in which semi-structural data are processed, without any additional work required.

Building Information Modelling (BIM), z sukcesami wdrażany w budownictwie ogólnym i przynoszący zyski uczestnikom procesu inwestycyjnego, znajdzie również zastosowanie w branży elektroenergetycznej. W artykule przedstawiono proces przygotowania modeli BIM projektowanych obiektów infrastruktury elektroenergetycznej dla opracowania dokumentacji technicznej dwutorowej linii 400 kV o długości ok. 72 km. Szczególną uwagę zwrócono w nim na analizę założeń i implementację wymagań Zamawiającego, proces kalibracji i modelowania, wymagania sprzętowe i programowe. Wnioski z dotychczasowych prac są bardzo obiecujące.

BIM – successfully implemented in building industry and bringing profits to investment process participants – will also be used in the power sector. Presented is here the preparation process of BIM models of power infrastructure designed objects needed for developing technical documentation of a ca.72 km long double circuit 400 kV power line. Special attention is paid to analysis of assumptions and implementation of Ordering Party demands, calibration and modelling processes as well as the software and hardware requirements. The conclusions reached so far have been very promising.

Merge sort algorithm is widely used in databases to organize and search for information. In the work the author describes some newly proposed not recursive version of the merge sort algorithm for large data sets. Tests of the algorithm confirm the effectiveness of the method and the stability of the proposed version.

The aim of the article is to analyze the activities performed manually in a meat processing enterprise in the context of shaping ergonomic working conditions. Based on observational methods, including metric measurements of workstations and an in-depth interview with employees of the enterprise, the activities realized in the production process of the selected sausage product were recognized, with particular emphasis on manual work. On the basis of ergonomic analyzes carried out with the use of 3D SSPP software, groups of activities were identified that carry an increased risk of static load and the occurrence of ailments in the musculoskeletal system. The results of analyzes form the basis for the development of a workflow improvement process resulting from the improvement of manual work conditions.

Omówiono statystyczne wyniki badań dokładności liczników membranowych gazu, czyli gazomierzy miechowych, wykonane na Ukrainie po sześciu latach ich eksploatacji. Parametry techniczne, warunki wzorcowania i dokładność gazomierzy ujęte są w przepisach ukraińskich podobnie jak w międzynarodowych i polskich standardach.. Okresowa kalibracja gazomierzy jest niezbędna do poprawy wiarygodności dostaw gazu ziemnego. Przeprowadzono ją dla trzech reprezentatywnych zbiorów gazomierzy membranowych typu G4 wyprodukowanych we Francji, Polsce i Ukrainie. Zmierzono ich błędy pomiarowe dla trzech wartości przepływów. Liczniki podzielono wg otrzymanych wartości błędów w pięciu zakresach i wyznaczono dla nich podstawowe parametry statystyczne. Analiza uzasadnia konieczność stosowania nowego podejścia metrologicznego, tj. odpowiednio częstej okresowej kalibracji gazomierzy dla małych przepływów, wykonywanej w laboratorium wzorcowym lub w miejscu instalacji.

Description of the accuracy of diaphragm gas meters according to international standards and standards of Ukraine is given. Values of their measurement errors are classified in five ranges. The periodic calibration of these meters is proposed to improve the accuracy of the calculation of the natural gas supply. Statistical parameters of measurement of G4 gas meters manufactured in France, Poland and Ukraine were experimentally identified after six years of operation and their quantitative characteristics were determined. Research results justify the purpose of developing a new methodological approach involving the implementation of periodic calibration of the gas meter for low flow of natural gas, made in situ, also without dismantling.

Modern information management systems are often driven by workflow engines, which require an accurate, detailed, and structured process description. Instead of theoretical modelling of such processes we propose a technique which can be a connection between traditional management (organisational structure) and business process management approach. In our work we present a case study where the automatic process mining techniques are applied to administrative processes in an environment of event logs recorded by DMS. We use event log data to discover and describe the process map of the organisation and to model structured process descriptions. Our approach allows for the extraction of models based on facts and it is a direct connection between the process model and raw data generated by the organisation. Such scenario increases consistency between the mapped model and the reality of the organisation.

In a competitive market the manufacturing companies have to produce cost effective products which can be realized by minimized production cost and higher effectiveness. The effective facility planning can significantly reduce the operational costs of companies. An adequate facility layout can result in the improvement of the performance of the production line. The Facility Layout Problem (FLP) is relating to location of objects (departments, workstations, machines, etc.) on a given site and the material flow between these objects. The goal of this study is to show the reasons, objectives and steps of a layout redesign process. The minimization of the workflow realized on the shop floor is an often applied an objective function during the layout redesign. Material flow efficiency is a commonly used term for the determination of the amount of workflow, which is the multiplication of material flow data and distance data. In this study, this mathematical method for workflow calculation is introduced. The described case study shows how the efficiency and reduced manufacturing cost of a real manufacturing system can be improved by re-layout design, while smaller floor space is needed for the production.

Dokonano analizy statystycznej wyników badań dokładności membranowych liczników gazu, czyli gazomierzy miechowych, wykonanych po ustalonym na Ukrainie okresie -sześciu latach ich pracy w warunkach eksploatacji. Parametry techniczne, wymagania dokładności i warunki wzorcowania gazomierzy są w przepisach ukraińskich ujęte podobnie jak w normach polskich i europejskich. Do poprawy wiarygodności dostaw gazu ziemnego niezbędne jest okresowe sprawdzanie błędów pomiarowych gazomierzy. Badania te przeprowadzono dla trzech reprezentatywnych partii gazomierzy miechowych rozmiaru G4 wyprodukowanych we Francji, Polsce i Ukrainie. Na stanowisku wzorcowym zmierzono ich błędy pomiarowe dla trzech wartości przepływu powietrza: Qmin, 0,2Qmax, Qmax. Liczniki podzielono wg błędów na pięć stosowanych w ukraińskiej praktyce zakresów i oszacowano ich podstawowe parametry statystyczne. Wyznaczono też histogramy liczb gazomierzy dla pomiarów przepływu Qmin według wartości ich błędów w dwunastu jednakowych zakresach. Przeprowadzona analiza uzasadnia wprowadzenie nowej procedury metrologicznej, tj. odpowiednio częstego okresowego sprawdzania błędów gazomierzy w laboratorium wzorcowym lub w miejscu instalacji, w tym bez demontażu.

Description of the statistical analysis of the accuracy of calibration of diaphragm gas meters according to international, Ukrainian and Polish standards is given. These meters have been tested after six years of their operation in users’ circumstances. Values of their measurement errors are classified in five ranges. The periodic calibration of these meters is proposed to improve the accuracy of the calculation and credibility of the natural gas supply. Statistical parameters of measurement errors of three group of diaphragm gas meters G4 manufactured in France, Poland and Ukraine were experimentally identified for measurements of three values of the air flows Qmin, 0,2Qmax, Qmax in the laboratory standard stand. Also, histograms of gas meters for Qmin flow measurements were determined according values of their errors in twelve identical ranges. Their quantitative characteristics were determined for five ranges of measurement errors used in the Ukrainian service practice for qualification gas meters. Research results justify the purpose of developing a new methodological approach involving the implementation of periodic calibration of the gas meter for low flow of natural gas, made in standard laboratory or situ, also without dismantling.

In this paper we examine how it is possible to control Petri net behavior with the help of transition priorities. Controlling here means forcing a process to behave in a stable way by ascribing priorities to transitions and hence transforming a classic Petri net into a Priority Petri net. For Petri net models stability is often ensured by liveness and boundedness. These properties are crucial in many application areas, e.g. workflow modeling, embedded systems design, and bioinformatics. In this paper we study the problem of transforming a given live, but unbounded Petri net into a live and bounded one by adding priority constraints. We specify necessary conditions for the solvability of this problem and present an algorithm for ascribing priorities to net transitions in such a way that the resulting net becomes bounded while staying live.

Opisano główne funkcje prototypowego systemu komputerowego wspomagającego zarządzanie ofertami, przeznaczonego dla firm wytwarzających narzędzia specjalne. Aplikacja stanowi centralne repozytorium ofert oraz zgromadzonych wokół nich dokumentów i danych. Przedstawiono, w jaki sposób można zarządzać pracami przedsiębiorstw produkcyjnych w sposób procesowy, z zastosowaniem modułu typu workflow, na przykładzie działu narzędzi specjalnych.

Described are the main functions of a prototype of the computer system designed to support the tender management procedure as dedicated for the companies producing special tools. The developed IT application provides for central repository for the tenders and collection of the relevant documents and data. Presented is the way how operation of the production companies can be managed in a process oriented manner using the workflow module of the IT system by example of performance of the special tools department.

Artykuł porusza temat usprawnienia działania współczesnej instytucji publicznej poprzez wdrożenie zarządzania procesowego, przy wsparciu narzędzi technicznych. Zaprezentowane zostały procesy, które wdrożono w obszarze administracyjnym Zakładu Ubezpieczeń Społecznych oraz sposób ich realizacji przy wsparciu zintegrowanego systemu informatycznego SAP. Z analizy zmian dokonanych w zarządzaniu Zakładem wynika, że przyjęty model zarządzania przyniósł wymierne korzyści w postaci zmniejszenia nakładu czasu i ilości pracowników w realizacji zadań, usprawnieniu i ułatwieniu dostępu do informacji, ujednoliceniu wytwarzanej dokumentacji oraz zwiększeniu efektywności i oszczędności w trakcie realizacji zadań.

The article raises the subject of improving the work of contemporary public institution by introducing the process management with cooperation of IT tools. There are presented the processes, which were implemented in the administrative area of the Institution of Social Insurance, as well as methods of their implementation with the support of integrated IT system of the SAP. The analysis of changes implemented in management of the Institution shows that the established model of management has measurably benefited in decreasing the expenditure of time and employees in realisation of tasks, improving and facilitating an information access, standardising the documentation produced as well as increasing the effectiveness and economy while implementation of tasks.

Głównym celem oceny ryzyka zawodowego jest zapewnienie poprawy warunków pracy oraz ochrony życia i zdrowia pracowników. Od sposobu prowadzenia i dokumentowania tej oceny zależy nie tylko funkcjonowanie przedsiębiorstwa, ale również kultura bezpieczeństwa. Ponadto ważne jest aby dokumentacja oceny ryzyka zawodowego stanowiła istotny element systemu zarządzania bhp. Ryzyko zawodowe to ryzyko, które ponosi pracownik w związku z wykonywaną pracą i jest konsekwencją występowania zagrożeń w środowisku pracy. Określa ono prawdopodobieństwo pojawienia się zagrożeń i ciężkości ich następstw. Zgodnie z PN-N-18002:2011 ocena ryzyka zawodowego opiera się na systematycznym badaniu wszelkich aspektów pracy, podejmowanych w celu zidentyfikowania prawdopodobnych przyczyn urazów lub uszkodzenia ciała oraz ustalenia możliwości uniknięcia lub ograniczenia szkody. W razie braku takiej możliwości – określenia środków zapobiegawczych. Dlatego konieczny jest sprawny nadzór nad prawidłowym obiegiem dokumentacji, gdyż prawidłowo i systematycznie prowadzony proces oceny ryzyka zawodowego realizuje wymagania staniane pracodawcy przez Kodeks pracy.

Occupational risk is the risk that sustain the employee in relation with work and is a consequence of the occurrence of hazards in the workplace. It determines the probability of occurrence of hazards and severity of their consequences. According to PN-N-18002: 2011 occupational risk assessment is based on a system-atic examination of all aspects of the work taken to identify the probable causes of injuries or damage to the body and the possibility of avoiding or limiting the damage. In the absence of such a possibility - the definition of preventive measures. Therefore, it is necessary to efficiently supervision over the correct circulation of documentation. Properly and systematically carried out the risk assessment process satisfies the requirements of becoming a professional employer in the Labour Code.

The main goal of the paper is to design and implement a framework based on the cellular automata (CA) method, which is dedicated to numerical simulations of microstructure evolution in metallic materials under thermal and mechanical processing. Major assumptions and implementation details of the proposed solution involving classes containing dedicated fields and methods are discussed. Finally, the cellular automata framework (CAF) is tested for selected case studies supported by the Windows Workflow Foundation (WWF) approach. Particular attention is put on modelling simple grain growth, static recrystallization and phase transformation phenomena occurring at the microstructure level. Obtained results of simulations as well as performance characteristics are also presented in the paper. As a result, the CA framework, which supports design of complex algorithms with flexible data flow and reusable components is proposed.

W artykule przedstawiono metodykę harmonogramowania przedsięwzięć budowlanych realizowanych w systemie potokowym, z zastosowaniem modelu czasowo przestrzennego. Zaproponowano model obliczeniowy czasów realizacji procesów budowlanych z uwzględnieniem zjawiska niepewności danych i ich skutku na przebieg procesu oraz na termin zakończenia zadania inwestycyjnego. Wykorzystuje on pojęcia perspektywy zdarzeń oraz horyzontu czasowego. Podjęto próbę adaptacji modelu matematyczno-fizycznego do szacowania terminów zakończenia budowy.

The paper presents the methods of scheduling construction projects realized according to the pipelined workflow system and with the use of the space-time model. A model of calculating the time of realization of construction projects has been proposed taking into consideration the data uncertainty and its effects on the progress of the process and the date of completion of the investment. It makes use of the concepts of the perspective of events and the time horizon. It also attempts to adapt the mathematic and physical model to the assessment of the time of construction completion.

Content available remote Safety and Soundness for Priced Resource : Constrained Workflow Nets

We extend workflow Petri nets (wf-nets) with discrete prices, by associating a price to the execution of a transition and to the storage of tokens. We first define the safety and the soundness problems for priced wf-nets. A priced wf-net is safe if no execution costs more than a given budget. The soundness problem is that of deciding whether the workflow can always terminate properly, where in the priced setting “properly” also means that the execution does not cost more than a given threshold. Then, we study safety and soundness of resource-constrained workflow nets (rcwf-nets), an extension of wf-nets for the modeling of concurrent executions of a workflow, sharing some global resources. We develop a framework in which to study safety and soundness for priced rcwf-nets, that is parametric on the cost model. Then, that framework is instantiated, obtaining the cases in which the sum, the maximum, the average and the discounted sum of the prices of all instances are considered. We study the decidability and the complexity of these properties, together with their relation.
