W artykule podjęto temat awarii i katastrof budowlanych powstałych w trakcie prowadzenia robót remontowych oraz związanych z przebudową obiektów budowlanych. Opisano dwa przypadki awarii i katastrofy budowlanej, z powodu wadliwej technologii i organizacji robót budowlanych. Pierwszy przypadek dotyczy katastrofy podczas robót budowlanych związanych z przebudową budynku typu LIPSK. Drugi przypadek to pożar poszycia dachowego wywołany wadliwą organizacją remontu dachu, użytkowanego wielorodzinnego budynku mieszkalnego. Opisano sytuacje i okoliczności powstania zdarzeń, skrócone wyniki prowadzonych badań oraz zalecone postępowania naprawcze. Celem publikacji jest przedstawienie znaczenia planowania i organizacji robót przy ich późniejszej realizacji oraz wskazanie realnych konsekwencji ignorancji tego, często niedocenianego, aspektu wykonawstwa budowlanego w obszarze robót remontowych.

The article deals with the subject of construction failure and disaster arising during the course of renovation and reconstruction works of construction facilities. Two cases of failure and building catastrophe arising from faulty technology and organisation of construction works are described. The first case concerns a construction disaster occurring during construction works related to the reconstruction of a LIPSK-type building. The second case is a roof sheathing fire caused by faulty organisation of roof repairs, of a multi-family residential building in use. The study of both cases describes the situation and circumstances of the incident, the summary results of the investigations carried out and the remedial procedures recommended. The aim of the publication is to present the importance of planning and organisation of works in their subsequent execution and to point out the real consequences of ignoring this, often underestimated, aspect of construction workmanship in the area of repair works.

Sytuacja na rynku budowlanym w okresie pandemii staje się coraz trudniejsza – wynika to z obostrzeń epidemiologicznych, ograniczeń w dostępności pracowników oraz ogólnej recesji w gospodarce. W takim otoczeniu prefabrykacja budowlana ma szanse dzięki swoim zaletom sprostać nowym realiom rynkowym, a co więcej, utrzymać rolę budownictwa jako koła zamachowego gospodarki.

The situation in the construction market during the pandemic is becoming more and more difficult – this is due to restrictions resulting from epidemiological reasons, restrictions in the availability of workers and a general recession in the economy. In such an environment, construction prefabrication has a chance, thanks to its advantages, to cope with the new market realities, and moreover, to maintain the role of construction industry as a motor of the economy.

Odpowiedzialność i skuteczność działania w kwestiach związanych z bezpieczeństwem i obronnością kraju jest silnie zależna od organizacji pracy w wydziałach jednostek samorządu terytorialnego. Determinuje go również stopień posiadanej wiedzy i doświadczenie pracowników, a także zakres przydzielonych obowiązków zawodowych i stopnień dostosowania struktury organizacyjnej do wymiaru wykonywanych zadań. W niniejszym artykule uwagę skupiono na urzędach powiatowych i gminnych badając, czy zatrudnieni tam pracownicy są właściwie przygotowani do pełnienia funkcji związanych z systemem obronnym.

Responsibility and effectiveness of realization tasks related to state security and defense are strongly dependent on the organization of work in the departments of local government units. It is also determined by the knowledge and experience of their employees, as well as the scope of assigned professional duties or adjustment of the organizational structure to the range of the tasks performed. In this article, the attention was focused on district and village offices examined in terms of proper preparation of employees to perform their functions.

Call centre workplaces are in many ways a challenge to occupational health and safety. The occupation itself can be described as an information technology-supported, communication-intensive form of work with often unusual working hours and a high rate of part-time employment. Data on the employee turnover as well as absenteeism related to occupational disability is quite contradictory. Occupational safety and its proponents still have to find new ways into the corporate structures and cultures of this relatively new and rapidly growing branch of industry. In a 2-year research and development project, using a holistic approach and under consideration of all the relevant disciplines, call centre workplaces were studied, and organisational measures were developed and field tested by putting them into practice. Practical help was developed for a sustainable strategy for successful and healthy work in call centres.
