W artykule wskazano na sposoby pozyskania sprzętu pancernego w oparciu o obowiązujące decyzje MON. Rozwini to opis sposobu pozyskania nowego sprzętu w oparciu o prace B+R, definiując ogólne częci składowe Studium Wykonalności, kryteria parametryczne, zakres niezbędnych analiz i prac wstępnych dla przyjęcia ogólnego układu konstrukcyjnego realizowanego projektu koncepcyjnego. W szczególności odniesiono się do analiz parametrycznych, stosując jako kryterium oceny spełnienie oczekiwa przyszłego użytkownika i wpływu rozwiązania na ogólny układ konstrukcyjny.

The paper presents methods of acquiring armoured equipment based on valid decisions of the Ministry of Defence. A description is given of the method of acquiring new equipment based on R&D studies along with the definitions of general components of the Feasibility Study, parametric criteria, scope of analyses and studies required for adopting a general structural arrangement of the concept design. Special reference is made to parametric analyses, with the adopted evaluation criterion being the meeting of future user’s expectations and the effect of the solution on the general structural arrangement.

W artykule dokonano przeglądu kierunków rozwoju bojowych wozów piechoty (BWP) na przykładzie aktualnie realizowanych światowych programów badawczych/rozwojowych oraz przedstawiono charakterystyczne cechy konstrukcyjne wozów, w tym modułowość w budowie platform. W dalszej części przedstawiono propozycję BWP na bazie Uniwersalnej Modułowej Platformy Gąsienicowej (BWP na bazie UMPG) opracowaną w OBRUM sp. z o.o. Dodatkowo w tablicach zestawiono charakterystyki aktualnie eksploatowanych BWP z podziałem na wozy pływające i niepływające.

The paper reviews trends in the development of infantry fighting vehicles (IFVs) by presenting examples of current research/development programmes implemented in the world and lists the design features of these vehicles, including the modularity of vehicle platform design. An IFV is proposed based on the Universal Modular Tracked Platform (IFV based on UMPG) developed at OBRUM. Tables are provided listing the specifications of currently used IFVs, broken up into amphibious and non-amphibious vehicles.

W artykule przedstawiono koncepcję nowej rodziny pojazdów gąsienicowych budowanych na modułowym podwoziu gąsienicowym ANDERS. Omówiona została geneza opracowania - powstania modułowej platformy gąsienicowej jako podwozia bazowego. Zaprezentowano możliwe do realizacji wersje – odmiany gąsienicowych pojazdów lądowych o różnym przeznaczeniu zbudowane na modułowej platformie gąsienicowej.

The article presents the concept of a new family of tracked vehicles built on a modular tracked chassis Anders. The genesis of the thesis is being discussed – development of modular tracked platform as base chassis. Feasible versions are presented – different versions of tracked land vehicles for different purposes based on a modular tracked platform.

In the article there were discussed the transformations of views on armoured and mechanised troops used to fight against irregular forces in selected armed conflicts after World War II, i.e. Vietnam, Afghanistan and Chechnya. During the armed conflict in Vietnam the armoured and mechanised intervention and Saigon’s forces were used, among other things, to reconnoitre the probable location of Vietcong units, to carry out direct support to the infantry and airborne subunits in the anti-guerrilla operations, to reinforce defence of the bases, to defend the important transportation routes and bridges, to cover the marching troops as well as transports of different destination. In Afghanistan, the Russians, after their first failures, tried to take advantage of American experience from Vietnam, adjusting it only to the different terrain conditions. Heavy, mechanised tactical units were exchanged for the small, independently operating ones. The same strategy was applied in Chechnya. After the failures of tank attacks at Grozny, the tactics was changed. Instead using tanks in massive attacks, some small 10-100-person assault groups were created to strike at selected targets. In the conclusion, there were indicated the tendencies that appear in the tactics of using armoured and mechanised troops to fight against irregular troops.
