This paper presents the results of numerical research and visualization concerning the flow of a fluid mix across a small power boiler. A proprietary concept regarding the engineering of a boiler designed to burn energetic grain in combination with e.g. fine coal is presented. This type of boiler can be effectively applied in individual farming as the supply of the fuel is easily accessible. The application of the Fluent package and the Euler’s model serves for the development of the model of the distribution of solid particles in a unit along with the concentration of the dispersed fraction. The applied method of digital image anemometry P1V has enabled the author to define the relevant flow related parameters, in particular the direction of the solid displacement and to state the occurrence of the vortex ring flow pattern in the examined fluidal boiler.
