The carriage of food products, in particular fresh products, is particularly sensitive to transport conditions. The aim of this paper is to examine the effect of trailer conditions on the quality of refrigerated food transport services. Six wireless measuring devices installed permanently in 3 trailers were used for the analysis. The built-in transmitter sensors have enabled the collection of data in the areas of temperature, humidity, pressure, shock and light intensity. Monitoring parameters via a wireless device can contribute to the reduction of fuel costs in the enterprise, e.g., detection with vibration sensor / acceleration of aggressive driving style of the driver causing suspended fuel consumption, detection of inappropriate transport conditions, etc. Analysis of the test results showed that in the same trailer the product distribution is very important owing to the different temperature. The analysis carried out showed that in the middle of the semitrailer, i.e. in the place where the breeze is located, temperature fluctuations amount to 5°C, which indicates a greater risk of loss of quality of the transported products.

Content available remote A holographic doctors’ assistant on the example of a wireless heart rate monitor

Microsoft has created HoloLens glasses, a high-tech device used for holographic purposes, which is unique and superior to other available solutions. We present a new idea of a holographic assistant to doctors, using as an example a wireless patient data monitor. A dedicated application will be created to be used by doctors, allowing hands-free access to patient cards/data, reviewing of new/old examination results, and even the ability to work on real-time data. Doctors will be able to use this in the examination room, at a patient’s bedside, or in an entirely different location. Currently, analysis of patient data is done mostly by the doctor; however, huge progress in computer hardware performance and artificial intelligence (AI) algorithms has allowed the development of new methods used to analyze and classify patient examination results. In the same way that doctors learn and practice how to treat patients during their studies, algorithms can learn to spot abnormalities, allowing current technology and advanced AI algorithms to be joined in one high-tech solution that should provide initial assessment of patients’ health and give treatment guidance, if necessary.

W artykule zaprezentowano zagadnienia związane z procesem kształcenia studentów na specjalności „Inżynieria systemów bezpieczeństwa”, która jest prowadzona na Wydziale Elektroniki Wojskowej Akademii Technicznej. Przedstawiono autorskie stanowisko badawczo-dydaktyczne wykorzystywane w celu poznania właściwości funkcjonalnych bezprzewodowych Systemów Sygnalizacji Włamania i Napadu. Dzięki temu studenci mają możliwość sprawdzenia w rzeczywistości zagadnień omawianych teoretycznie, takich jak m.in.: współpraca urządzeń bezprzewodowych (czujki, sygnalizatory) z modułem urządzeń bezprzewodowych. Podczas zajęć laboratoryjnych jest także wykorzystywane wspomaganie komputerowe w postaci oprogramowania służącego do programowania i określania stanu systemu.

The article presents issues related to the process of students education on the speciality "Engineering security systems", which is carried out at the Faculty of Electronics of the Military University of Technology. Paper present the stand of research and teaching used in order to understand the functional properties of wireless intrusion detection systems. As a result, students have the opportunity to check the reality of the issues discussed theoretically, such as: cooperation of wireless devices (detectors, sirens) with module wireless devices. During the laboratory classes it is also used a computer support software for programming and identification of system status.
