Important factor that affects on the renewable energy business is an analysis of local climatic conditions. The paper presents a method for testing wind resources in the chosen area of the city of Opole. The numerical simulations performed Ansys Fluent, based on their own measurements of wind speed and direction. The test results, shown as area sections of wind resources were used to determine the location of small wind turbines on the building’s roof.
