Noise of Wind Power Turbine Sets. A Case Study

The work presents selected results of noise studies carried out in the greatest wind farm in Poland, i.e. in Zagórze, near Wolin. The noise of the VESTAS V80 Turbine was measured in a single measurement session - only during a real operation of the wind farm. The noise of a single turbine and its acoustic background could not be measured (as there were no consent for the plant shut-down). For technological reasons during the studies 80 per cent of the turbines were operative. In order to minimize the effect of their operation on the noise measurement results the turbine located at the border of the farm from the windward side was selected for purposes of the study. The above described noise investigation makes a case study for the turbine noise in predetermined weather conditions. The results so obtained enable formulating an opinion related to the distribution of the acoustic field arising around the wind farms.

W pracy przedstawiono wybrane wyniki badań hałasu przeprowadzonych na największej farmie wiatrowej w Polsce - w Zagórzu niedaleko Wolina. Pomiary hałasu turbiny VESTAS V80 przeprowadzono w czasie jednej sesji pomiarowej - tylko podczas rzeczywistej eksploatacji farmy wiatrowej. Nie istniała możliwość pomiaru hałasu podczas pracy jednej turbiny, ani możliwość pomiaru tła akustycznego (nie uzyskano zgody na wyłączenie elektrowni). Podczas badań, z przyczyn technicznych, pracowało 80% turbin. W celu uniknięcia wpływu ich pracy na wyniki pomiarów hałasu, do badań wybrano turbinę położoną na skraju parku od strony nawietrznej. Przedstawione badania hałasu stanowią studium przypadku hałasu turbiny dla określonych warunków atmosferycznych i wynikającej z nich mocy turbiny (mniejszej niż moc nominalna). Uzyskane wyniki badań hałasu dają pogląd na rozkład pola akustycznego wokół powstających farm wiatrowych.
