Proper determination of the capacitive earth-fault currents in medium voltage (MV) and individual lines is a figure of merit in most earth-fault analyses. The earth-fault parameters acquisition methods applied up to now were accompanied by many nuisances. In the paper, the guidelines for the wide-spread data acquisition system for ground-fault parameters in the MV network are presented. The system is based on methods developed in the Poznań University of Technology, Institute of Electric Power Engineering, previously implemented in the MSK and MPZ meters, within the CZIP sets. In the system, the elements of the wireless technique are used.
