The article presents a method of sludge composting by means of dense population of earthworms. Eartworm breeding of hogh density can be realized on various organic wastes.Such a culture offers a possibility of quick and effective change of sludge properties from noxious wastes to useful compost that serves then as a bed for earthworm breeding. It has been found that compost obtained in the described way can make a valuable fertilizer in agricultural and urban areas and can be also applied to the production of forest cuttings and land reclamation in non-agricultural areas.
