Znajdujące się w nich nowoczesne łazienki powinny być wizytówką tych obiektów, miarą panującego w nich komfortu i luksusu. Dbałość o jakość powinna znajdować odzwierciedlenie nie tylko w drogich kafelkach czy efektownej ceramice łazienkowej, ale również w najmniejszych detalach, takich jak systemy odprowadzania wody.

Noise is unwanted sound judged to be unpleasant, loud or disruptive to hearing. Like air pollution, noise pollution is one of the serious matters of concern in urban areas. Noise pollution occurs when noise level exceeds certain limit and has deleterious effects on human health and wellness. The major sources of noise pollution are industries, road traffic, railways, airplane traffic and social celebrations. The traffic noise is notably high in cities due to higher density of population, frequent movement of people, good transport system coupled with increasing numbers of vehicles (on road). In this work, the assessments of traffic noise in Sambalpur city is presented. Twelve important locations were chosen for the assessment. Noise contours were drawn to visualize the spreading of traffic noise into its surroundings. At the same time, the effect of noise pollution on wellness of the exposed people was studied. The study shows that the traffic noise level and its effects, are both in an alarming stage in the city.

The study of thermal spas involves various research methodologies. It has become especially important nowadays when the latest technologies and ideas of shaping architecture, space, water and healthy lifestyle can be applied to create thermal spas. Developing modern European spas widen their offer by expanding complementary services that meet the needs of people in different age groups, who do not necessarily require rehabilitation. Examples of Austrian spas that use geothermal water in Styria and Burgenland show the effectiveness of this approach, particularly in the context of the evolution of the structure of objects in wellness and SPA types, by building multifunctional infrastructure.

Badania w dziedzinie termalnych obiektów spa prowadzone są na wiele sposobów z wykorzystaniem różnych metod badawczych. Temat ten stał się nadzwyczaj istotny właśnie teraz, kiedy najnowsze technologie, kreujące architekturę, przestrzeń, wodę i zdrowy styl życia, mogą być zastosowane do tworzenia termalnych obiektów spa. Rozwijające się współcześnie europejskie spa poszerzają własne oferty o usługi zaspokajające potrzeby grup zróżnicowanych wiekowo, niekoniecznie wymagających rehabilitacji zdrowotnej. Przykłady austriackich obiektów wykorzystujących wody geotermalne w Styrii i Burgenlandzie pokazują efektywność takiego podejścia, szczególnie w kontekście ewolucji struktury obiektów typu wellness i spa, poprzez budowanie ich wielofunkcyjnej infrastruktury.

The main aim of this article is to collect the scattered knowledge of Cosmetotextiles and present it to the world scientific community for scrutiny. Various aspects of Cosmetotextiles are compiled systematically and oriented towards product development. The technology of Cosmetotextiles is at the neonatal stage. The joint efforts of textile technologists, biochemists, cosmetic experts and medicos can achieve challenging targets in the field of Cosmetotextiles. Various derivatives of metals, plants and animals are used in pure and derivative form to generate cosmetic functionality in textiles. Various routes for the incorporation of cosmetic potentail in textiles are available, of which microencapsulation and the use of cyclodextrin as cage material are the most popular. The content of moisture on skin surface is a key parameter in maintaining skin elasticity and glowing potential. The characterization of Cosmetotextiles is a difficult task, but the Europeans have taken the lead by classifying and standardising the testing of the cosmetic effects of cosmetotextiles.

Celem artykułu jest przedstawienie wiedzy rozrzuconej w różnych źródłach na temat nowo wprowadzonego pojęcia kosmotekstyliów. Przedstawiono podział kosmotekstyliów, kierunki możliwych aplikacji, stosowane zróżnicowane technologie dla otrzymania pożądanego efektu, środki wywołujące odpowiedni efekt wprowadzane do włókien przędz, tkanin lub dzianin oraz gotowych produktów. Opisano również stosowane sposoby badań i testów. Podano także liczne przykłady współcześnie stosowanych kosmotekstyliów.
