Stab-protective clothing is the most important component of safety equipment and it helps to save the lives of its wearers; therefore, it is designed to resist knife, nail, or needle attacks, especially to the upper body. In this paper, the essential requirements for stab-resistant armor are investigated based on an in-depth review of previous research and prototype test results. The combination of protection and comfort in armor vests is a particularly challenging task. Review of the state of the art technology responsible for the manufacture of stab-resistant clothes has revealed that their design and development should encompass the elements of comfort, freedom of movement, permeability, absorption, evaporation, and weight reductions to ensure excellent ergonomics and high wear comfort. The design as well as the production, weight, thickness, material types and properties, and the arrangement of scales determine the level of protection and comfort offered by stab-resistant vests. Currently, the production of stab-proof gear-based 3D printing technology is evaluated, using lightweight materials (aramid) in the form of segmented scales inspired by nature. As the protection performance and wear comfort of stab-proof gear is enhanced, the willingness of security, control, transport, custom, and correction officers to wear them can be significantly increased in an endeavor to ensure that fatal injuries will decrease significantly.

On 15 December 2017, Fabryka Broni “Łucznik” - Radom Sp. z o.o. (FB Radom), a subsidiary of Polska Grupa Zbrojeniowa S.A., delivered the first batch of 1,000 MSBS Grot C 16 FB M1 calibre 5.56 mm standard (basic) assault rifles (version A0) to the Polish Territorial Defence Force and thus initiated the process of deployment of the assault rifle in the Polish Armed Forces. MSBS Grot was developed by Polish design and process engineers at FB Radom and the Military University of Technology (MUT, Warsaw, Poland) who by mediation of the proper Armament Acquisition and Development Department collected the improvement suggestions and operational feedback from 2.5 years of testing by operators from the armed forces. The suggestions and feedback were thoroughly analysed and discussed during periodic meetings attended by the representatives of the Territorial Defence Force (TDF) Command, the Special Forces Component Command, the 3rd Regional Military Representation (RMR), MUT, and FB Radom. Based on the conclusions from the testing period and the results of theoretical and instrumental testing of the solutions proposed for implementation, the MSBS Grot assault rifles show systematic improvements up to the current version, A2. This paper presents the design of the MSBS Grot Version A0 assault rifle and the construction and processing modifications for version A1 and version A2. During the optimisation effort backed by theoretical and instrumental testing, there was special focus on the assurance of high operating safety and reliability, plus the required ergonomics of the assault rifle under various operating conditions. The paper also presents the avenues for further potential improvements of MSBS Grot.

W dniu 15 grudnia 2017 roku Fabryka Broni „Łucznik” - Radom Sp. z o.o. (FB Radom), wchodząca w skład Polskiej Grupy Zbrojeniowej S.A., dostarczyła Wojskom Obrony Terytorialnej pierwszą partię liczącą 1 000 sztuk 5,56 mm karabinków standardowych (podstawowych) MSBS GROT C 16 FB M1 (w tzw. wersji A0), początkując proces jego wprowadzania do uzbrojenia Sił Zbrojnych RP. Broń została opracowana przez polskich konstruktorów i technologów z FB Radom i Wojskowej Akademii Technicznej (WAT), którzy przez 2,5 roku użytkowania karabinków zbierali od żołnierzy – za pośrednictwem Gestora sprzętu wojskowego (SpW) - doświadczenia, propozycje i uwagi z eksploatacji. Były one wnikliwie analizowane i dyskutowane podczas cyklicznych spotkań z udziałem przedstawicieli: Dowództwa Wojsk Obrony Terytorialnej, Dowództwa Komponentu Wojsk Specjalnych, 3 Rejonowego Przedstawicielstwa Wojskowego, WAT i FB Radom. Na podstawie podjętych wniosków oraz wyników przeprowadzonych badań teoretycznych i instrumentalnych proponowanych do zastosowania rozwiązań, karabinki MSBS GROT konsekwentnie udoskonalano, uzyskując obecnie broń w wersji A2. W pracy przedstawiono konstrukcję karabinka MSBS GROT w wersji A0 oraz zmiany konstrukcyjno-technologiczne jakie w nim wprowadzono, uzyskując wersję A1, a następnie wersję A2. Podczas prac optymalizacyjnych, popartych badaniami teoretycznymi i instrumentalnymi, szczególną uwagę zwrócono na zapewnienie wysokiego bezpieczeństwa użytkowania i niezawodności działania oraz pożądanej ergonomii karabinka w różnych warunkach eksploatacji. Ponadto zaprezentowano kierunki dalszych, możliwych udoskonaleń karabinka MSBS GROT.

W ciągu ostatnich dwudziestu lat znaczna część aktywności społecznych przeniosła się do Internetu. Spowodowało to głębokie przemiany społeczne i polityczne. Jednakże zdecydowana większość populacji nie zdaje sobie sprawy z tego, że ma dostęp jedynie do niewielkiej części informacji znajdujących się w cyberprzestrzeni. Zdecydowana ich większość znajduje się w tak zwanym ukrytym Internecie. Jego część stanowi z kolei darknet (ciemna sieć), który pozwala na zachowanie niemal zupełnej anonimowości użytkownika. Atrybuty tej części sieci powodują, że jest ona atrakcyjna dla bardzo ceniących sobie prywatność. Jednakże w tej grupie część osób to przestępcy, ekstremiści i terroryści. Powoduje to nowe wyznania dla służb odpowiedzialnych za bezpieczeństwo publiczne. Jednocześnie zagadnienia związane z darknetem mogą stanowić podmiot badań nauk społecznych.

Over the past twenty years, a significant proportion of social activity has moved to the Internet. It caused profound social and political changes. However, the vast majority of the population is unaware that they only have access to a small part of the information in the cyberspace. The vast majority of them are on the so-called hidden Internet. Part of it, in turn, is the darknet, which allows almost complete anonymity of the user. The attributes of this part of the web makes it attractive to those who value privacy highly. However, in this group, some people are criminals, extremists and terrorists. This causes new confessions for the services responsible for public safety. At the same time, darknet issues can be a subject of social science research.

W dniu 3 maja 2016 r. na Placu Zamkowym w Warszawie, podczas uroczystości państwowych z okazji 225. rocznicy uchwalenia Konstytucji 3 Maja – w obecności Prezydenta RP, najwyższych władz Rzeczpospolitej oraz licznie zebranych gości – po raz pierwszy w dziejach oręża polskiego Kompania Reprezentacyjna Wojska Polskiego wystąpiła z oryginalną, polską indywidualną bronią ceremonialną – karabinkiem reprezentacyjnym MSBS-5,56R kalibru 5,56 mm. Kolejna ważna prezentacja MSBS-5,56R polskiemu społeczeństwu miała miejsce podczas centralnych obchodów Święta Wojska Polskiego w Warszawie, również z udziałem najwyższych władz państwowych, w dniu 15 sierpnia 2016 r. Karabinek reprezentacyjny został skonstruowany przez Fabrykę Broni „Łucznik”-Radom Sp. z o.o. (FB Radom) i Instytut Techniki Uzbrojenia (ITU) Wydziału Mechatroniki i Lotnictwa (WML) Wojskowej Akademii Technicznej (WAT) w ścisłej współpracy z Dowództwem Garnizonu Warszawa (DGW). W artykule przedstawiono genezę opracowania, podstawowe dane taktyczno-techniczne oraz specyfikę konstrukcji karabinka reprezentacyjnego MSBS-5,56R w porównaniu z karabinkiem standardowym (podstawowym) Modułowego Systemu Broni Strzeleckiej kalibru 5,56 mm, który jest opracowywany przez FB Radom i ITU WML WAT dla „polskiego żołnierza przyszłości”.

On the 3rd of May 2016 – the 225th anniversary of the Constitution of 3 May 1791 on the Warsaw’s Castle Square, in the presence of the President of Republic of Poland and the highest state authorities, for the first time the Honor Guard Battalion appeared with Polish Ceremonial Rifle MSBS-5,56R. This weapon was designed by the Arms Factory „Łucznik”-Radom Ltd. and the Institute of Armament Technology of the Military University of Technology in close cooperation with the Warsaw Garrison Command.This paper presents genesis, main tactical and technical specifications, construction and operation of the MSBS-5,56R Ceremonial Rifle. It is a specialized variant of the MSBS-5,56 Assault Rifle of the MSBS-5,56 (Modular Weapon System cal. 5,56 mm), developed by the Arms Factory „Łucznik”-Radom Ltd. and the Military University of Technology, as the Polish Future Soldier weapon.

The article presents the results of studies which focus on theoretical and empirical aspects of the application of automated systems of command in air defence, including the impact of automation on the efficiency of the process of command and the efficiency of using firearms in case of an aerial threat. The presented findings of proper research identify desirable characteristics which automated systems of command should feature. Apart from the theoretical aspects of implementation of modem technical systems as tools to support commanders in information and decision-making processes, attention was also drawn to their role, impact and relevance on the efficiency of combating military air assault assets. The study also uses the knowledge of experts in the field of air defence, especially at the stage of verifying the directions of development of automated systems to support air defence command. In this regard, the authors focused on the possibility of shortening the process of collection, processing, analysis and transmission of data. It constituted the basic determinant of making quick and rational decisions regarding the optimal use of weapons by commanders.

Modernizacja Sił Zbrojnych RP wymaga wprowadzania nowych narzędzi elektronicznej gospodarki, jakimi są systemy automatycznej identyfikacji (ADC) i elektronicznej wymiany danych (EDI). Wdrażane obecnie w Siłach Zbrojnych RP systemy ADC wymagają identyfikacji wszystkich zasobów i dostaw do wojska, w tym produktów uzbrojenia, według globalnych standardów i rozwiązań Systemu GS1 (Global System 1). Identyfikacja produktów uzbrojenia identyfikatorami: globalnymi, międzynarodowymi i krajowymi branżowymi z ich atrybutami, w bazach danych i na rzecz ich fizycznego oznaczania, jest wynikiem prowadzonych od 2010 r. prac i badań oraz ponad ćwierćwiekowego doświadczenia. Artykuł prezentuje, zidentyfikowane w praktyce, problemy związane z identyfikacją uzbrojenia i sposoby ich rozwiązywania, na podstawie prac, realizowanych przez ostatnie 4 lata na rzecz wojska i firm - dostawców uzbrojenia.

An introduction of new electronic management tools such as Automatic Data Capture systems (ADC) and Electronic Data Inter-change systems (EDI) is needed to upgrade the Polish Armed Forces. ADC systems, presently under implementation in the Polish Armed Forces, require identification of all resources and deliveries received by the army, including pieces of weaponry, in accordance with GS1 global standards and solutions (Global System 1). The identification of weapons along with their attributes and global, international and national brand identifiers in databases, and also through their physical identification, is a result of work and research which has been carried out since 2010, and of over 25 years' experience. The article presents problems with identifying weapons and methods of solving them, relying on the works which have been carried out for the last four years for the army and weapon suppliers.

Trafficking in weapons, ammunition and explosives is the activity that is specific, rare, strictly regulated, requiring a license and subject to a detailed inspection by the state authorities in the Polish legal system. This is justified by the need to ensure national security and public order. The author discusses in detail the applicable provisions of the so-called “act on special trading” and a number of priority implementing acts. He presents the following sources of regulations, defines the subject of the licensed activity and dis-cusses requirements for applicants, including issues related to professional preparation, health and technical-organizational conditions. He also analyzes the content of the application for a license, the procedure for granting a concession by a licensing authority and the content of the decision issued. He also takes into account the possibility of a refusal to grant a license, its revocation and changes in the scope of a license, indicating the applicant’s right to challenge the decision by requesting for review with extraordinary rendition or in the course of administrative court proceedings.

Riflemen’s trainers are efficiently applied for the training of the armed forces, police, and shooting sportsmen. However, the training quality directly depends on the perfection of trainers as well as on their functional facilities. One of them is the shooting possibility by using various weapons. The new modification of a practise range is created: it’s included three types of weapons imitators for 5.56 mm G-36 assault rifle, 7.62 mm FN MAG machine gun and, 84 mm CARL GUSTAF recoilless gun. The work presents the universal dynamical and mathematical models of the one way operation pneumatic drive for recoil imitation, results of its investigation and description of the new modification of laser range for riflemen.
