W artykule przedstawiono klasyfikację przeszkód wodnych pod kątem trudności ich pokonywania za pomocą wojskowego sprzętu przeprawowo- mostowego. Zaprezentowano 3 rodzaje tego sprzętu: - zmechanizowane mosty towarzyszące ( ZMT ); - samobieżne i przewożone parki pontonowe (promy i mosty pływające); - mosty składane (MS) oraz możliwości ich zastosowania w zależności od potrzeb.

The article presents the classification of water obstacles in terms of the difficulty with which they are crossed with military crossing and bridging equipment. It discusses three types of equipment: - support bridges, - self-propelled and transported pontoon parks (ferries and amphibious rigs), - foldable bridges, and their employment as needed.

Dla przemieszczających się wojsk niezmiernie ważne jest szybkie pokonywanie przeszkód wodnych, które może zapewnić właściwy sprzęt przeprawowo-mostowy, znajdujący się na ich wyposażeniu. W artykule zaprezentowano koncepcje przekraczania przeszkód terenowych oraz najnowszy sprzęt mostowy będący na wyposażeniu państw NATO, który w wielu przypadkach musi być przystosowany do budowy mostów objazdowych w ramach rozbudowy krajowej sieci dróg.

Quick water obstacle crossing is critical for the mobility of the armed forces. This can be facilitated by the use of proper bridging equipment which is a vital element of their capabilities. The paper presents an idea of crossing the existing natural features and state-ofthe-art bridging equipment in service with the NATO countries. It is this bridging equipment which in many cases has to be adjusted in such a way that it can be used to construct by-pass bridges as an element of national roadway development project.

W artykule rozpatrzono możliwość pokonywania przeszkody wodnej przez pojazd gąsienicowy. Przeprowadzono analizę możliwości pokonywania przeszkody wodnej dla różnego ukompletowania pojazdu: wariant A - podwozie z wieżą oraz wariant B - ukompletowanie bez wieży. Analizę przeprowadzono dla obu wariantów, biorąc pod uwagę pokonywanie przeszkody wodnej po dnie oraz możliwość pływania. Problem rozpatrywano pod kątem wpływu własności gabarytowo-masowych na zachowanie się pojazdu w nurcie rzeki.

An opportunity to surmount water obstacles by tracked vehicles was considered in the paper. Analysis of possibilities to surmount water obstacles was performed for various vehicle sets: variant A – a chassis with turret and variant B – a set without turret. Analysis for both variants was performed, taking into consideration surmounting water obstacles on the bottom and possibility to swim. The problem of weight and dimension properties influence for behaviour of vehicle in midstream was considered.

W referacie przedstawiono wyniki prac doświadczalnych nakierowanych na wykrywanie zielonej roślinności i przeszkód wodnych w otoczeniu pojazdu bezzałogowego. Do wykrywania roślinności stosowano analizę obrazów wideo poprzez dokonanie ich segmentacji, klasyfikacji obiektów i segmentację poprzez zastosowanie działu wodnego. Do wykrywania przeszkód wodnych wykorzystywano kamery kolorowe i LADAR.

Results experimental research focusing on detect vegetation and water obstacles in surroundings of unmanned vehicle are presented. To detect vegetation analysis video images through their segmentation, objects classification, and segmentation through watershed using is applying. To water obstacles detect color video camera and laser telemeter are used.

The article presents the significance of water obstacles in military operations. The Polish Republic’s war operations’ theatre has been characterised in the aspect of water obstacles appearance. Various ways how to cross water obstacles by combat vehicles and crossing means used for this aim have been presented. A few examples of combat vehicles’ adaptation to cross deep water obstacles have been given. The necessity to maintain the capability to cross water obstacles while modernising Polish combat vehicles has been stressed.

The article is an attempt of a synthetic presentation of water obstacles influence on forces actions. The characteristics of a water obstacle defining its tactical features have been presented. Numerous difficulties and divergencies result from mere stating precisely which of the water obstacle characteristics has an essential impact on forces’ actions. Taking into account the degree of difficulties appearing in case of overcoming a water obstacle, their division criteria have been described. As it results from introductory evaluations, the character of river banks, their slant and the time to cover the water surface connected with the river width and current speed have a great importance. Such a big impact of water obstacles on forces actions results primarily from difficulties to come across even in case when, theoretically a given combat equipment has got sailing (floating) abilities. From the conducted considerations results that the effectiveness of carried out combat actions in water obstacles area will depend on many factors, the most important of which are the following: the degree of armed forces preparation to conduct actions and the ability to take advantage of the terrain features.
