The article presents an analysis of the operation of hydraulic stands in a longwall powered support system based on actual research. The tests carried out show that there may be large variations in the pressure values in the subpiston space of the stands in the enclosure sections, and that sections may be spread out to different pre-support values and operate at different working support levels. In addition, pressure drops in the stands were observed immediately after the end of the spreading cycle. The above may result in uneven support of the ceiling along the longwall, which results in incorrect cooperation of the longwall support system with the rock mass, and consequently may cause difficulties in operating. On the basis of the tests, it was found that the pressure to which the section is spread out, depends directly on the instantaneous value of the pressure varying in time in the supply bus. Its drops may cause difficulties in spreading out the sections and, consequently, the longwall support system may not obtain the required initial support level. It is therefore important to control the operating parameters of the longwall support system during operation. Obtaining the required initial and operating support level is important for the stability of the ceiling. It is therefore justified to monitor the operating parameters of the section and, in particular, to apply pressure monitoring in the powered longwall support system.

W publikacji przedstawiono wyniki rzeczywistych badań dotyczących pracy układu hydraulicznego stojaka zmechanizowanej obudowy ścianowej. Analizę pracy układu hydraulicznego przeprowadzono w oparciu o zapisy monitoringu ciśnienia. Uzyskane wyniki pozwoliły określić poprawność pracy obudowy zmechanizowanej w ścianie wydobywczej.
