Most of presently constructed offices or public buildings has an underground car park, often multi-storey. These buildings are usually built in monolithic technology or mixed technology with usage of the precast elements, including pre-tensioned hollow core slabs. In the presented article selected technical requirements and technical solutions for the multi-storey underground car parks were given, specially in relation to the car parks with floors build of hollow-core slabs. Typical faults of these type of car parks were presented. Reasons of these faults were discussed, diagnostic methods were presented and also the influence of the defects on the object usability and durability was analyzed.
