The aluminum profile extrusion process is briefly characterized in the paper, together with the presentation of historical, automatically recorded data. The initial selection of the important, widely understood, process parameters was made using statistical methods such as correlation analysis for continuous and categorical (discrete) variables and ‘inverse’ ANOVA and Kruskal–Wallis methods. These selected process variables were used as inputs for MLP-type neural models with two main product defects as the numerical outputs with values 0 and 1. A multi-variant development program was applied for the neural networks and the best neural models were utilized for finding the characteristic influence of the process parameters on the product quality. The final result of the research is the basis of a recommendation system for the significant process parameters that uses a combination of information from previous cases and neural models.

The work contains analysis of influence of human factor on level of defects of production select firms in period 1995-1999. Problem contained in work refers analysies of dependence: changes (oragnizational and technological) and quality of human work measured with changes of level of defects in investigated periods.

Zastosowania podstawowej analizy statystycznej w jakości produkcji do opracowania strategii zmian produkcyjnych w wybranym zakładzie. Ze względów konkurencyjnych zakład nie zgodził się na przedstawienie strony kosztowej. Jednak finansowa sytuacja zakładu ulega zasadniczej poprawie.

Praca zawiera porównanie wad produktu w przykładowym przedsiębiorstwie przed i po uzyskaniu certyfikacji PN-ISO 9002 w styczniu 1997 r. Analizie poddano zmiany poziomu i charakteru wad w funkcji przeobrażeń wewnątrzzakładowych (przejawiających się zmianami w kontroli jakości, wprowadzeniem nowego urządzenia), gospodarczych Polski na tle rynku zachodnioeuropejskiego (wymogi odbiorcy). Zestawienie zmian jakościowych produktu pozwoliło stworzyć model sterowania jakością, uzasadnić jego celowość.

The work contains comparition of defects of product in example - firm before and after obtainment certyficate PN-ISO 9002 in January 1997. To analysis one surrendered changes of level and of character of defects in function of transformations within the factory (appearing with changes in inspection of quality, with introduction new devices), economic Polands on background of West-European market (requirements of receiver). Composition of changes qualitative product permited to create model of steering with quality, to base his advisability.

Przeprowadzono statystyczną kontrolę jakości wyrobu produkowanego przez przedsiebiorstwo posiadające certyfikat ISO 9002. Celem analizy danych było określenie relacji pomiędzy badanymi czynnikami: brygadą, gatunkiem stali, wymiarem (grubość x szerokość) produktu a wielkością wybraków.

A special quality analysis of products, including ISO 9000 quality system requirements, was realized in a company. The goal was to determine relationships existing between human and technical factors vs number of defects resulted. First step was the understanding and presentation of the organizational structure with the consideration of documents flow. Then many diagrams, tables, with corresponding explanations, demonstrate step by step, in visual form, the empirical effects of performance applied, leading to the five final conclusions. They are in descriptive form presented and discussed. It is the context of this article, demonstrated as publication in the monthly.
