The study discusses the model of fuzzy controller used for traffic light system of traffic phase control with respect to formal requirements and traffic safety [1]. The assessment and comparison of traffic conditions were carried out for the following operating modes in traffic light systems: fuzzy logic, fixed-time and acyclic mode for traffic intensity data registered at real-life crossroads. The model for description of traffic phases based on a standard description of pua [2] data was presented. The VISSIM traffic simulation environment was presented, with a detailed description of control module.

W artykule opracowano model sterownika rozmytego sygnalizacji świetlnej dla sterowania fazowego przy zachowaniu wymagań formalnych i bezpieczeństwa ruchu [1]. Przeprowadzono ocenę i porównanie warunków ruchu dla programów pracy sygnalizacji świetlnej: rozmytego, stałoczasowego i acyklicznego dla natężeń ruchu z rzeczywistego skrzyżowania. Przedstawiono model opisu faz ruchu opierający się na standardzie opisu danych PUA [2]. Omówiono środowisko symulacyjne VISSIM ze szczegółowym opisem modułu sterowania.

This paper describes possible approaches for optimal route selection for emergency vehicles. The presented navigation software's architectures employ real-time traffic congestion information, matched to a tailored map. Four approaches have been described and reviewed against suitability in emergency response situations.

Artykuł prezentuje sposób optymalizacji obliczeń trasy pojazdu służb ratowniczych, wykorzystując informacje o natężeniu ruchu, uaktualniane w czasie rzeczywistym. Pod kątem zastosowania w ratownictwie zostały przedstawione i porównane cztery możliwe architektury systemu nawigacyjnego.

The thesis shows differences resulting from the classification of vehicles to different types according to the estimations made by the observer and by automatic counters measuring the length. The authors prove that the way of estimating the type structure of vehicles in the traffic stream, according to the vehicles length, is of great practical value, because is influences the accuracy of the traffic tests results, its intensity and density in particular.

Ukazano różnice wynikające z klasyfikowania pojazdów w grupy rodzajowe na podstawie pomiarów wykonywanych przez obserwatora oraz przy użyciu automatycznych mierników ruchu bazujących na pomiarze długości. Autorzy udowadniają, że sposób szacowania struktury rodzajowej pojazdów w potoku na podstawie długości pojazdów ma duże znaczenie praktyczne, ponieważ wpływa na dokładność wyników badań ruchu, szczególnie natężenia i gęstości ruchu.

W artykule przedstawione zostały wyniki pomiarów natężenia i struktury ruchu oraz rozkładu ruchu na pasach, przeprowadzonych w dniach: 20 października 2004 roku oraz 20 kwietnia, 4 maja i 17 października 2005 roku w obszarach wjazdów węzła Chrzanów II autostrady A-4. Zgromadzone w czasie pomiarów dane stanowiły podstawę analizy przepustowości oraz oceny warunków ruchu w obszarach wjazdów tego węzła.

The results of researches have been used to calculating of capacity and estimating of traffic condition on this interchange.

Traffic safety is one of the most important factors determining the efficiency of road transportation. I/48 highway, playing an important role of a transit communication link between Austria and Poland requires taking all means to improve the current level of safety. The short-term, instant and long term plans have been commissioned in the Civil Engineering Faculty, Road Engineering Section of the Technical University of Ostrava. The paper outlines the approach to all investigated solutions.

Na drodze I/48 od kilku lat obserwuje się wzrost liczby wypadków spowodowanych zmianą natężenia i struktury ruchu. Artykuł przedstawia propozycje zastosowania środków inżynierii ruchu i ulepszeń konstrukcyjnych, które powinny poprawić bezpieczeństwo ruchu na najbardziej krytycznych odcinkach drogi.

In the discussions and considerations on the design of road network the data of volume and through traffic has an important role. In solving this problem the knowledge about its volume, direction and the percentage from the whole traffic volume is highly desirable. Therefore the effective determination of these characteristics is of a major importance. In the paper the data as results of special surveys of these characteristics, together with analysis of their development are described.

The results of researches on volume of road traffic conducted on days: the 30th of march, 2000, the 5th of April, 2000, the 24th of October, 2000 and the 24th of October, 2001 at the crossroad of streets Grunwaldzka and Piłsudskiego in Jaworzno have been presented in this article. The results show changes of volume and structures of traffic on alternative to motorway A-4 to 79 state road, after introduction the toll on motorway A-4 on day the 3rd April, 2000.
