Viscous and the magnetic force acting on the armature of a high speed solenoid valve (SV) during its closure movement were identified numerically using a novel computational method. The numerical solutions were compared to the analytical ones. The derivation steps of the analytical formulas were presented. The convergence of the numerical solution was shown in figures. The deviation between the numerically and analytically obtained forces was listed in tables. The distribution of the calculation error was presented in figures by means of the magnitude of the magnetic flux density and the viscous stress.

Przedstawiono wyniki badań doświadczalnych dotyczących wpływu prędkości rozdzielania kontaktujących się powierzchni na siły adhezji pochodzące od mostków cieczowych powstających zarówno w wyniku kondensacji kapilarnej pary wodnej zawartej w otaczającym powietrzu, jak i celowego nawilżania. Zaproponowano model opisujący wpływ prędkości rozdzielania na całkowitą siłę adhezji. Uwzględnia on siły kapilarne oraz siły lepkościowe powstające podczas odkształcania mostka.

Experimental results on the influence of contact separation rate on adhesion forces resulting from liquid bridges formed by both capillary condensation and deliberate introduction of liquid between contacting surfaces have been presented. A model describing the influence of separation rate on overall adhesion force including capillary and viscous contributions resulting from liquid bridge elongation has been proposed.
