In the paper the classical optimization problem is formulated as the mathematical description of design principles. The non classical formulation of optimization is proposed in opposition to fully mathematical approach. This approach is based on realistic simulation generated in virtual reality environment. The optimization criteria in computer aided design and specially in design of assembling processes are considered. The simulation and optimization of assembling of gear box is presented in VRML environment.

In the paper, the safety problems in computer aided design and specially in design of assembling processes are considered. The application of virtual reality software tools for simulation of hazardous situation is proposed. The simple simulation of assembling of gear box is presented in VRML environment.

This paper describes a manufacturing planning process which takes place in virtual Reality. It outlines how manufacturing simulation can improve the CAD/CAM procedures and structures. Problems of VR Simulation software are discussed and possible solutions and necessary developments are presented.

Opisano proces planowania wytwarzania w środowisku wirtualnej rzeczywistości. Artykuł przedstawia jak symulacja wytwarzania może ulepszyć procedury i struktury CAD/CAM. Zostały również omówione problemy oprogramowania do symulacji wirtualnej rzeczywistości, możliwe rozwiązania oraz niezbędne ulepszenia.
