Wśród pięciu przypadków diagnostycznych, przypadek oznaczony jako E (tabela 1) należy do trudniejszych. Dotyczy on bowiem sytuacji, w których źródło drgań wystąpiło w przeszłości i nie jest możliwe jego działanie ponowne; obiekt zaś znajduje się w stanie uszkodzonym. Wykonanie zadania diagnozy wymaga wykorzystania danych zaczerpniętych z bazy wyników pomiarów. Na tej podstawie uzyskuje się spodziewane parametry drgań budowli poddanej w przeszłości działaniom dynamicznym od nieistniejącego już obecnie źródła drgań. W pracy podano wymagania ogólne oraz procedurę diagnozy a posteriori. Przedstawiono również przykład wykorzystywania tej procedury w praktyce.

Among the five diagnostics cases mentioned in table 1, the case denoted as "E" constitutes the more difficult ones. It concerns situations in which the vibration source occurred in the past and its reoccurrence is not possible; the object however, is damaged. For diagnoses use of experimental results data base is necessary. Basing on these data expected vibration parameters of the structure subjected to dynamic actions in the past from the no more existing vibration source general requirements and procedures of a posteriori diagnosis was presented. An example of application of this procedure in practice was also given.

The method of determination of vibration source by means of structural intensity measurements is presented in the paper. The theoretical background of the method is stated out as well as the method of measurement and evaluation and the preparation of verification of practical use of this method with the help of mathematical and spatial model.
