The grinding taking part between mill working elements was shown as the energy-type process. A model of the process describes the dissipation of energy accompanying collisions between mill working elements during grinding. Energy is dissipated due to deformation of grinding material, sliding and rolling friction and the change of grinding media kinetic energy. An example of the model verification is also shown.

This paper contains two process models of a rotary-vibratory mil. These models were worked out on grounds of laboratory research. The first one contains the influence of eight process parameters on a specific surface of milling process. The second one contains the influence of the same parameters, material fraction and bulk density on the index of unitary effectiveness. The both models were positively verified.
