In the paper author presented the carrying structure of 125-years old railway viaduct which was damaged in consequence of high vehicle impact. The way of repair was described, especially main girders and sidewalk cantilevers were taken into consideration. Causes of such impacts were given and maintenance recommendations in scope of railway track and anticorrosion protection of viaduct spans were described. Different manners for providing safety against damages caused by high vehicles were also included in the paper.
