This article presents the most important requirements to be met by technical facilities dealing with motor vehicle diagnostics. Among the requirements that were highlighted were those regarding the adequate location and marking of the vehicle testing station, the necessary equipment adjusted to the needs and the range of offered services as well as technical specifications and staff qualifications. The paper also focuses on the requirements concerning the assessment of the condition of combustion engines. The significance of combustion engine diagnosis by service station methods and with the use of relevant tools and devices was emphasized.

W artykule przedstawiono analizę sygnałów drganiowych uzyskanych na zmodyfikowanym stanowisku pomiarowym. Obiektem badań były hydrauliczne amortyzatory teleskopowe zabudowane w samochodach osobowych. Zaproponowana modyfikacja metody pomiaru polega na zastąpieniu koła pojazdu stalowym statywem. Zastosowany statyw ułatwia uzyskanie informacji diagnostycznej z sygnału drganiowego.

The paper presents analysis of vibration signals obtained on a modified bench. Hydraulic telescopic shock absorbers built into the personal car were studied. The proposed modification of measurement relies on wheel replace by steel tripod. Used tripod helps to get diagnostic information from the vibration signal.

Artykuł przedstawia problematykę badań zawieszenia samochodu osobowego realizowanych podczas okresowych badań technicznych na stacji kontroli pojazdów. Prezentowane są wyniki badań realizowanych na stanowisku diagnostycznym przy założonych zmianach ciśnienia w ogumieniu oraz obciążenia pojazdu.

The article presents the issues related to automobile suspension testing carried out during periodic technical inspections at vehicle testing station. The work shows results of tests performed at a diagnostic station for specified changes in tyre pressure and vehicle load.
