Apparatus to study volumetric properties of the gas hydrates

A new pVT apparatus was built on Department of Drilling, Oil and Gas at AGH University of Science and Technology, which was sponsored by the Polish Oil and Gas Company. The apparatus was adjusted to measurement of the proprieties of the gas hydrates. On the schematic diagram of this apparatus, methodological solutions of the equipment were compared to different of this kind literature apparatuses. Among others innovatory elements of the present apparatus some of them should be counted: method of the changes of volume or automatic system (arrangement) to taking the sample with supported nafion drying. The first step of the experimental study is desulfurization of the natural, by using process of the hydrates formation in gas mixture.

W 1998 roku autorzy zrealizowali projekt pt. Bilans osadów oraz koncepcje ich zagospodarowania w oczyszczalniach ścieków województwa białostockiego. W 1999 roku projekt rozszerzono ze względu na reformę administracyjną, analizie poddano 86 miejskich, gminnych oraz przemysłowych oczyszczalni, zlokalizowanych na terenie województwa podlaskiego. Realizując przedsięwzięcie, autorzy skoncentrowali się na konieczności zmiany podejścia do finalnego wykorzystania osadów ściekowych. Wykonane badania, obejmujące określenie zawartości metali ciężkich, wybranych wartości nawozowych i stanu sanitarnego, jednoznacznie wskazują, iż w zdecydowanej większości analizowane osady po przetworzeniu powinny wracać do środowiska naturalnego.

The papaer presents results of researches on sewage sludge characteristic. Eighty six municipal and industrial wastewater treatment plants located in the north-eastern part of Poland were checked. Such parameters as the content of heavy metals (Pb, Cd, Hg, Ni, Zn, Cu, Cr), biogenic compounds (N, P) and hydration were described. Obtained results showed that according to the present Polish legislation sewage sludge generated in wastewater treatment plants (Podlaskie Province) should be recycled to the natural environment as a fertiliser for example.

Przedstawiono fragment badań dotyczący sposobu preparowania osadów ściekowych przed odwadnianiem. Pole ultradźwiękowe zostało zastosowane jako czynnik modyfikujący działanie polielektrolitów. Ta fizyczna metoda kondycjonowania osadów nie stanowi zagrożenia dla środowiska. Określono charakterystykę osadów odwadnianych w procesie filtrowania, po ich preparowaniu polielektrolitami modyfikowanymi. Podjęto próbę porównania uzyskanych efektów dla ich dawek optymalnych i nadźwiękawianych.

In the paper the part of investigations concering the way of sewage sludges preparation before dewatering was presented. Ultrasonic field was used as an agent of polyelectrolytes modification. This physical method of sludges conditioning is not hazardous to the environment. The characteristics of dewatered sludges in the filtration process was determined after their preparation with polyelectrolytes as well as with polyelectrolytes after modification. The attempt was made to compare the results obtained for optimal doses of sonicated polyelectrolytes.
