The aim of the study was to characterize the components of crude oil, with particular emphasis on those that have a toxic effect on organisms, and to describe the sources of pollution and the methodology for determining these compounds in aqueous solutions. In addition, the study presents the legal provisions in the field of petroleum compounds and practical methods for their removal in the event of uncontrolled emission of these compounds into the aquatic environment as well as methods used in the treatment of wastewater loaded with these compounds.

Przedstawiono wyniki badań zdolności emulgowania, wymywania anionowych związków powierzchniowo czynnych, preparatów handlowych oraz badanych kompozycji. Zdolność wymywania badano metodą wagową, i refleksyjną spektroskopii w podczerwieni. Określono wpływ stężenia i charakteru związku anionowego na właściwości kompozycji środka.

Four com. surface-active agents were studied for oil emulsifying and leaching efficiency in aq. solns. The highest degree of oil removal (over 90%) was achieved when the mixed surfactants were used.

Research results for using clinoptylolite adsorption characteristics in removing emulgated mixol S machine oil from water by method of capacity coagulation. Implementing combined processes of adsorption and coagulation aimed at ensuring high level of oil removal, economical use of reagents and materials and obtaining oil deposits that might be safely burnt or deposited.
