On the conditions of compatibility for the plane stress state and Hooke's law

The topic of considerations are arbitrary elastic and isotropic structures analysed in plane stress states assuming small strain theory. The purpose of the paper is to indicate the need to evaluate the fulfilling of the completed compatibility conditions. In the determining procedure of the stresses either strains we assume p33 = 0 and for the proved relations p23 = p13 = 0 the remaining components p11, p22 and p12 of the compatibility tensor can differ from zero. In consequence they may imply, that the obtained solution is useless.

Przedmiotem rozważań są dowolne ustroje sprężyste i izotropowe znajdujące się w płaskim stanie naprężenia oraz badane w założeniach teorii dowolnie małych odkształceń. Celem pracy jest wskazanie potrzeby oceny spełnienia warunków nierozdzielności. Jako postulat rozwiązania przyjmujemy p33 = O i przy udowodnionych relacjach p23 = p13 = 0 pozostają w ogólnym przypadku trzy składowe tensora niezgodności p11, p22 i p12 różne od zera. W konsekwencji mogą one implikować nieprzydatność otrzymanego rozwiązania.

On a generalization of the Southwell theorem

The aim of consideration is to formulate on basis of a modified functional, which necessary extreme postulates, assuming "large" deformations, include the Green-Zerna formulae for strains, if the equations of motion and the boundary relations in arbitrary elastic structures are fulfilled. In particular for small deformations, Hookes law and statics we arrive at the Southwell theorem.

Celem rozważań pracy jest wyprowadzenie na podstawie publikacji zmodyfikowanego funkcjonału, którego postulat konieczny ekstremum zawiera definicję odkształceń Green'a-Zerna'y, jeżeli są zachowane w badanych dowolnych ustrojach sprężystych równania ruchu oraz relacje brzegowe danych przemieszczeń i obciążeń. W szczególnym przypadku przyjęć "małych odkształceń", słuszności aksjomatu Hooke'a i statycznej równowagi otrzymujemy tu twierdzenie Southwell' a.

On the stress equations of motion for large deformations in the theory of elasticity

The aim of analyses is to formulate the stress alternatively strain equations of motion for the case of arbitrary large deformations and displacements. In particular were also considered constitutive relations concerning a generalized Hooke's law and the transformation of the motion equations to relations corresponding the variant of "small deformations".

Celem rozważań pracy jest sformułowanie alternatywnych równań naprężeniowych lub odkształceniowych ruchu w założeniu nieograniczenie dużych przemieszczeń i odkształceń. W szczególności rozpatrzono relacje konstytutywne uogólnionego prawa Hook'a oraz przekształcenia wyprowadzonych równań ruchu do postaci odpowiadających przyjęciom teorii dowolnie małych odkształceń.
