Organizational aspects for perfecting production processes based on the analysis of changes using the OEE indicator

The article presents the essence of the method of value stream mapping on the example of a selected production process in an automotive company. The analysis presented in the paper concerned the indication of potential organizational possibilities of actions aimed at implementing changes in the organization based on the results of measuring the process with the use of the OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) indicator. All stages of the production process were explained, which allowed to obtain the results of the process efficiency analyses. Further on, the results of the analysis of process improvement in accordance with the PDCA approach are discussed. The significance of establishing the method in order to improve the functioning of the process and the meaning and usage of the value stream mapping methodology in building successful relations with the end customer were emphasized. The undertaken activities constitute a research gap defined as follows: the effectiveness of management methods in an organization depends on the efficiency of using the applied indicators and reacting to changes. Thus, defining models with potential application capabilities in order to increase management effectiveness is one of the most important issues in the area of enterprise organization.

Proces kompletacji jest jednym z czterech procesów jakie są realizowane w całym magazynie. Poprawność oraz czas jego wykonania mają duży i bezpośredni wpływ na przebieg całego procesu magazynowego. W aspekcie czasu należy dążyć do jego minimalizacji przy jednoczesnym zachowaniu odpowiedniej jakości i staranności wykonywanych czynności. Celem niniejszego artykułu jest zaprezentowanie konieczności ciągłego doskonalenia procesów zachodzących w przedsiębiorstwie. Opracowano i omówiono przykład procesu kompletacji oraz zaproponowano rozwiązanie usprawniające jego funkcjonowanie.

The picking process is one of four processes that are carried out in the entire warehouse. The correctness and the time of its execution have a large and direct impact on the entire warehouse process. In the aspect of time, one should strive to minimize it while maintaining appropriate quality and diligence of performed activities. The purpose of this article is to present the need for continuous improvement of processes taking place in the enterprise. An example of the picking process was developed and discussed and a solution was proposed to improve its functioning.

Metoda 5S pozwala na ustalenie stałego porządku na stanowiskach pracy, co poprawia efektywność pracy oraz bezpieczeństwo pracownika. Celem artykułu jest wykorzystanie metody 5S do usprawnienia stanowisk operatorów w wybranym przedsiębiorstwie produkcyjnym. Badania przeprowadzono w przedsiębiorstwie, które zajmuje się wytwarzaniem elementów z tworzyw sztucznych wykorzystując technologię wtrysku. Metoda 5S była wdrożona na stanowiskach operatorów wtryskarek, montażu oraz ich najbliższego otoczenia. Według przyjętych wytycznych sytuacja przed wprowadzeniem nowych rozwiązań dla zachowania porządku na miejscu pracy było w złym stanie. Natomiast wprowadzenie doskonalenia 5S pozwoliło na uzyskanie doskonałego poziomu zachowania czystości stanowiska. Potencjał do doskonalenia w znacznym stopniu został wykorzystany, jednak możliwe jest wprowadzenie dodatkowych zastosowań, które jednak nie wpłyną znacząco na efektywność pracy operatorów.

The 5S method allows to establish permanent order in the workplace, which improves efficiency of work and worker safety of employees. The purpose of this paper is to use the 5S method to improve the operators work stands in chosen manufacturing enterprise. The research was conducted in the enterprise, which deals with the production of plastic parts with use of the injection technology. 5S method was implemented in the work stands of injection moulding, assembly and their close environment. According to the adopted guidelines the situation before the introduction of new solutions for the preservation of order in the work place it was rather bad. In contrast, the introduction of the 5S improvement resulted in an excellent level of cleanliness position. The potential for improvement has largely been used, but it is possible to introduce additional applications, which, however, will not significantly affect the efficiency of the operators.
